I brought my 73 year old mother to the Iowa state fair for her birthday (8/13/49). We skimmed the web and found this place. We both thought EVERYTHING was great. Drinks, service, ambiance... Everything. We got drinks, appetizers and dinners. No pictures of drinks, and the poutine was captured after we tore into it. She got the chicken pot pie, me fish and chips, starters, Reuben egg rolls and poutine. Go there, tip good... Unless your service is less than mine. And support small business! Thanks for reading.

Good service and fun atmosphere. I didn't know what I wanted to drink, and the bartender made me a creation with raspberry vodka and blueberry red bull (I told him I needed caffeine!) and he threw down some glitter in the drink too. I was with two girlfriends and we each ordered some appetizers and they were all great! I had the fried pickles and they were fabulous (spear cut like fries), and one friend got the banger bites - really tasty with some mustard dipping sauces Our other friend got the chicken tenders and I loved the crunch on them and they have unique sauces for those as well- she had gotten some kind of bbq pineapple sauce for them? Overall great! Glad we stopped there on our way to a show! (Picture posted is my whimsical "unicorn" drink!)

Fun atmosphere, clean and just what I imagined a "pub" to look like. Food was good but not outstanding. Parking: Prepare for on the street parking or a nearby ramp. We walked a block to the restaurant and then another block back to Civic Center for a show.

Good and bad. Great bar area. Nice outdoor seating. Good wait staff. But no London Pride on Pride parade day. What a faux pas. Need British bacon to get that fourth star. 😊

My wife & I had a great experience here. It's definitely an English Pub with that type of food but they also have American Food for the less adventurous. I got Scotch Eggs, Banger Bites, & Shepherd's Pie while my wife got the Turkey Club with steak fries & Mozzarella Sticks. It was all fantastic! Our server was incredibly friendly & very helpful which was appreciated since this was our first time here. They had a great pub atmosphere & also a few TV's scattered around to be able to catch the game. We'll definitely be going back!

Good food, but don't go during peak hours, it's a smaller restaurant and gets a little crowded. Nice adult beverage selection. Service was fairly quick, and it's walking distance from downtown hotels.

Recommended by a stranger and boy did it not disappoint. Food was insanely good service was top notch. Next time I’m in town, I will be back. Thank you for the great meal and service.

A nice traditional setting of an English Pub (Cozy, Dimmer, Neat, Wooden Furnishings & Trim) with excellent quality and variety of food, beers & liqueur. One of my favorite hideaways in Greater Des Moines. Haven't ever had a wait line/list on a weekend night (other places can be 2 hour waits) even if it's fairly full 1st floor, it's great!

Great spot to catch a Premier league soccer game. Friendly staff, great vibe. I spent a week in Ireland last month and this place feels very similar to an Irish pub. Brunch food was okay. The Benedict was smothered in hollandaise...be sure to ask for it on the side. Kids menu had relatively small serving sizes so be prepared to order a couple extra sides. 5 stars for ambiance, staff friendliness, drink selections, and soccer 3 stars for food

Cool combination of a bar and restaurant. We went late after a concert and they only had the Late Night Menu but still was very good. I love the variety of appetizers that you don't always find in a bar. They have a wide selection of beers, whiskey and other drinks. Very nice service and experience. I would definitely come back.
