The woman behind the counter was very rude. 4 of us purchasing, 1 friend asks to use the restroom. She is told “we have a bathroom, but it’s private”. There goes that sale, she puts her item down and walks out. I purchase a candle, and when done this cranky woman can’t even say thank you. If not for tourists these small town shops would not survive. What part of that do they not get.

The Grasshopper guest house is very charming and spacious. The outdoor seating area in the back is perfect for a relaxing evening. Great walking distance to all of the cute shops and eateries in Le Claire. I definitely recommend staying here.

It is not a winery, but a wine store. There is no tasting and the wine is in a musty old basement. Main selection is cool aid infused wine. Sorry flavor infused wine. Kind of a waste. They do have soap and candles etc on upper floor.

Grasshoppers is a beautiful little shop. Perfect for both home decor and gifts. The basement is a great wine cellar with wine related gift items. Worth a visit when you are in LeClair.

Kimberly, I miss shopping at your place! Especially on my birthday each year! The picket fence you painted “Sing Your Own Song” is beautiful and I think of you and your Mom every time I look at it! Hope you are doing well. You know if I get back that way, I will stop in! Holly

This place is so cool! Tons of unique items. My favorites -- the clothing and the soy candles. The basement is packed with excellent wine choices. We enjoyed the stroll through. There is a barn in back with antiques and shabby chic stuff. Parking is available and they're located on a busy corner. I suggest parking on the side street and walking up and down mainstreet from there. All-in-all, Grasshoppers is a great stop!

Quaint little shop in the heart of LeClaire. Incredible wine selections from all over the globe, something for every taste. Guest houses are also available at an extremely reasonable price, perfect for families or medium sized groups!
