I will not bank @ Commerce as Travis was unhelpful and intrusive with too many personal questions. I did find Johnathan Shields there very professional and accommodation when opening my account. Thank you Johnathan. This institution I will never bank at again. It is a big mistake on Travis’ judgement.

The experience I had today with this branch makes me want to leave this bank. Manager completely unhelpful and the policies of this bank as a whole are ridiculous. Had a very recent name change as of 4 days ago. Went to deposit checks that have new name on them. Brought the legal court documents that everyone else and God will take for a name change in order to get this done and was told that I had to have a driver's license with my new name on it. Anyone been to the DMV lately? Probably not because you can't get in and you can't get an appointment. And once I do get an appointment I will take the exact documents that I brought to the bank in order to change my driver's license. So it's good enough for the state but it's not good enough for commerce bank. This is ridiculous. Sometimes policies need to change given the times and situations of current society. Thank you COVID.

Although we recognized some faces, the vast majority of people who seemingly work here are not from 87th. Poor customer service, couple that with a new wave of fees for just about everything under the sun. Closing this account along with our personal, good riddance!

The lobby is open, but you have to call when you arrive for someone to let you in. Their interest rates are low so we didn’t open a new account, but Jill was nice very helpful in getting us information and updating information on an old account since we recently moved.

What a a shame! They hire incompetent notary public. My parents have an account with Commerce bank checking, savings, credit card. Because of this, We requested a service that is free for having an account with them. The notary public was incompetent and did not take the time to read the document to say the least. I went in to the public branch to notorize a timeshare deed, the first time they made me print my name where my witnesses were supposed to sign and print. I went ahead and trusted the work the notary public had done and sent it off to the timeshare corporation, however, I was sent back the document explaining that the document was noticed wrong. This was a time sensitive document and I trusted Commerce Bank to be competent. Second time, during COVID-19, I went through the drive through and asked to get the document notirized for the second time, here I am giving them a second chance, they told me that they could not help me because a person that is abroad who had already notorized the document via the US Embassy was not there......... unmmm are you ...... or what????? Clearly you do not know what you are doing and clearly because I showed up 15 minutes before you closed you decided to tell me that you couldn’t help me, and clearly you did not read the rules to the document. Incompetent, incompetent, incompetent, please read next time someone brings in a document to get notorized, you will save customers the time and money if you do your job right!!!!!!!!!! If your thinking of notorized please read the document before you have me sign and then tell me you can’t help us and then tell me to go print another page.They told me go print another page, as if I hold the power to print a legal document from my own home . I went to the branch at 9501 Antioch Road Overland Park, KS 66212 on July 25th. Tried to make a deposit and was told that part of the deposit could not be completed due to a policy. I asked for clarification of the policy and was told "I didn't need it explained to me and that I just needed to deal with it". Heather the Branch Manager is rude, and lacks people skills. I then asked for her bosses information, stepped out to the lobby and left her boss a voice mail. I decided to wait for a call back. While waiting a bank employee asked if I needed help. I responded Yes, but that Heather was unwilling to help me. Heather then proceeded to tell me she could close my account if she so desired and asked me to leave. She stated that I was intimidating the customers, which was untrue. I stood silently watching the TV in the lobby. I advised her I would not be leaving since I still had a deposit to make. She called the cops on me. I did not threaten, intimidate, or curse at anyone. I was told by the cops that I am not welcome back in the bank. Her boss never called me back. I was able to speak to Ann at corporate. She did nothing about the situation and told me that "They had decided to do nothing, and that I would not be receiving an apology. You are not allowed to use that Branch anymore." They did nothing. That is not how you treat a customer. Your motto is Ask, Listen, Solve Commerce. Your motto and policies are worthless if you don't back them up.

I started noticing many websites would not accept my card, although I had way more than enough money in my account to cover the purchase and any transactions that Commerce had not completed yet. When I tried to call to fix the issue, the automated system had me looping back over and over their options with no chance to speak to someone. When I went into the bank and explained the issues with online purchases, the teller just printed me off a new card, same numbers. Obviously, that did nothing to fix the issue. Tellers at the Shawnee branch were constantly slow and messing up. The Antioch branch is more helpful, but it's issues with the bank itself that are sending me away. Transactions take forever. On Saturday, I had 6 days worth of transactions all come out at once. I had enough money to cover it, I had been watching and waiting for them to come through, but I would rather not wait and wonder if my bank will do its job. Commerce Bank is really not worth its trouble.
