As a customer I have had mixed experiences here. When she was the mortgage advisor there, Joy was great to work with. Brenda is a superb bank manager. The tellers have been variable. Some are great and some, not so much. However, what prompted me to write this review was their fraud service. This is not a specific reflection of this bank, but I could not find FNBO on yelp.
I had fraudulent activity on my ATM card. I reported this as soon as I found out. As of now, the matter is not resolved. (Please see below; the matter has now been resolved). I have been shunted to 3 distinct people and have been on hold for over an hour just to get the huge sum of money that was withdrawn from my account back in my account. Their fraud department fell asleep on the job. They authorized a payment for way more than was in my account, and had to go to a back up account. How could that have even happened? Now I have to deal with the fall out, and I have to say that they are not helping. I am very very disappointed. I thought the advantage of using a small town bank was that they would have your back in a situation like this. Guess I was wrong. If fraud and security are a concern, find a bank with better protection than this one.
Quick follow up: After several phone calls resulted in futility I did get someone in the fraud department who listened to me attentively, got her supervisor involved (not on my request) and while I was on hold they worked their way through the phone merry go round and found an investigator who escalated my claim. I am pleased to report the matter has been resolved. I am grateful to the representative who helped me in the Fraud department. I can revise my star rating to 4.5. I do believe the people who monitor ATM and credit card transactions should be more alert. ~Marilyn
