For some reason Fry's at Nall Ave completely bloked their parking lot for the through traffic even the West part of It along the street. Which causes an additional problems to get around including to the other businesses located at this part of the street. Such an action is a complete disrespect to O.P. residents. BTW, looks like they are NOT busy at all, their parking lot as well as every single box are completely empty. So, what was the reason for such an action.

I've been taking my car here for years and they always do a great job. The prices are fair and the staff know what they're doing. Whenever my friends are having automotive issues, I always recommend Fry's.

Brought my car in due to the air conditioner not working. Was quoted $2,000 for the repair, saying my compressor was bad, and it had contaminated all of the other parts in the system, so they would all have to be replaced. I was skeptical about this, so decided to take it to the dealership. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the compressor. All my car needed was a simple valve replaced that cost $110. Air conditioner is now running better than ever. I would not take my car to Fry's again. They charged me $80 just to assess the problem, then quoted me for work that didn't need to be done.

A Great experience. I called late Sat afternoon and Jeff was able to get my truck in for a partcular service first thing Monday. It was ready by 10:30. I will call them again for car service. I appreciated very much that they took time to discuss the issue with me.

They are way over priced. They tried to fix my 16-year-old daughters car charging $750 for something that was not the correct problem to be fixed. They then release the car to me and it broke down three more Times and were able to finally get the car back over there than without it being towed. Then after they had it for three more weeks they finally fixed it correctly and are now wanting to charge $250 more. Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I was warned by a friend who went in to have his car fixed here. They charged almost a $1000 for the work and the problem wasn’t fixed at all. I was warned; they’re shady. We read the reviews and tried to be optimistic. We felt they were just getting bad press and that it was a good idea to support a local business. Sometimes bad reviews are there for a reason. A $95 oil change crippled my car. End of story. It made it 5 miles from their shop and the car began to shut down. Barely running we got it back to the shop and they let it sit all day before addressing it. Then they tried to tack on a $500 repair. It’s not their fault, of course, just a random coincidence that a fully operational car would suddenly shut down Immediately after an oil change. Super common. Until you remember the reviews. And the warnings given to you. Times are tough and this place is a shakedown. Take your vehicle to some place not so exposed financially and avoid the predatory behavior of this shop. The bad reviews are real; they do shoddy work and charge you more to repair their mistakes. Buyer beware.

We have 7 kids and at one point were caring for 6 mostly older cars. Frequently they would tell us something needed work but we could wait awhile rather than pushing all repairs to be done immediately. They lost a great guy a few years ago so are not as friendly as they used to be but would still highly recommend them. We have found them to be consistently trustworthy and fair.

This summer my air conditioner went out. Went in to Frys were I have been a customer for 6 yrs. they "fixed" the leak added more coolant and I picked up car. Next day air conditioner stopped again. I brought it back in they checked everything. Small amount of coolant added. I picked it up and everything was fine for 24hrs. Air conditioner out again. Brought the car back. They said they used dye and pressure and found no leaks. They thought the problem was in the button to turn it on. They sent me to the dealership because they have better diagnostics. The Ford dealership said there was no coolant in the system!!!!! NONE!! That the lack of coolant had damaged the condenser and I needed to replace it. The bill was about $2000. I talked to the owner of Fry's and he just kept saying there was no leak and it was full of coolant when they inspected it the day before. Someone is lying. All I can say is after getting over the idea of paying for a new condenser I have had no more problems. When I was at the dealership they said there was a recall on my brake booster and they would take care of that. They called and said it has been replaced. Fry did that last year when I was having brake problems. They did not tell me it was a recall and I was charged $408!!!! I again talked with the owner who was very unconcerned. He suggested I get in touch with Ford and they will probably refund me!! I asked how they could not check for recalls and he brushed it off. Needless to say I am no longer a customer and I suggest you reconsider if you are and don't get involved if you are just looking.

So, my alternator went out on a Saturday afternoon. I happened to be somewhat close to Fry's, and since it was an independent shop, I figured I would get enough of a charge on my battery to get it there, and hoped they could replace my alternator before they closed. I got it in there, and they didn't have time that day. That's okay, I didn't mind leaving it til Monday morning, but when I went in, I specifically told them that the alternator was shot and had to be replaced and asked about how much that would cost. The guy said probably about a couple hundred dollars. That seemed right to me. Monday morning, a guy calls me up and tells me what I already had told them at the counter, that the alternator would need to be replaced, but that it will be $375. Now, I realize the person working on Saturday was making a somewhat rough guess, but to be off by $200 is pretty ridiculous. I was shocked, especially considering that I was told by several mechanics that my 96 Taurus had an alternator that was up front and quite easy to reach. I called my regular mechanic (the only reason I didn't go to him first was because of the distance, I thought my car wouldn't make it there on one charge), and he told me that for the price of $250, that he would tow the car to his shop AND fix my problem. I know for a fact that the part I needed costs less than $130, and that it shouldn't take more than an hour to replace. Unless they're charging an excessive amount of money for labor, there's no reason that this should be almost $400. When I told the fellow on the phone that I wouldn't be needing their services, they still had brass ones big enough to charge me nearly 60 dollars just for lifting up the hood and telling me what I already knew. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE, IT'S A RIP OFF!
