PLEASE HEED TO THE WARNINGS OF RANDOM CLOSING OF ACCOUNTS!! I had read the reviews about people and business accounts getting closed. I should’ve listened to the warning. Here is your warning!! after a few months they randomly send you an email that they’re going to close the account and then they refuse to give you a reason. I’m a small business owner, now I have to look for a bank in short notice to continue accepting money from clients because I’ve lost complete trust in nbkc. No stability and no reliability. Would not recommend at all. NBKC will try justify their actions but simply saying they have the right to do so…just because you have the right to cancel an account does NOT make it right or morally correct. As a small business owner, the only thing this bank has done is give me headaches. STAY AWAY FROM NBKC. Even if you call them to ask questions, they refuse to answer or release any information, so there’s really no point in talking to these people. They employ terrible business practices and I will continue to warn people about this bank.

This bank is just disorganized and potentially dishonest. They closed an account without telling me, and I have offered my PC for inspection as well as gmail accounts for inspection regarding their supposed communication. Next I lost a debit card and went through their 3rd party process to resolve, but here we are and of course there was a miscommunication ,because...OF COURSE there was a miscommunication with NBKC bank, and I was supposed to call NBKC to order a new card, meanwhile here I am with all the charges associated with the card failing, two weeks later! I called, of course they have to now order the card. I cannot cannot cannot wait to be free of this company.

Had a great experience with NBKC and Trevor Campbell, or loan officer. Found a link for them through one of the major real estate listing websites and tried them out. Trevor took the time to explain everything to me and their rate could not be beat. I checked with several other lenders and no one could touch the rate. Their website makes it convenient for uploading documents and e-signing when permitted. We successfully closed without any issues.

My experience with the National Bank of Kansas City was exceptional. While I thought the best way to deal with a mortgage company was face-to-face, I was definitely proven wrong. The VA loan I received was the best rate of the severral companies I contacted and the closing costs were comparable. The closing of my loan was on time despite numerous setbacks by the seller. All of my questions and concerns were handled promptly and correctly. Jeff Barnett of the National Bank of Kansas City was extremely competent, courteous and responsive. If he didn't answer my calls immediately, he returned them within 30 minutes consistently. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I have purchased six homes in the past and this mortgage company was the best I have used.

Had a great re-finance process with this bank. My loan consultant was Travis Smith and he was wonderful to work with. Emails were answered quickly and phone calls, when necessary, were great. I was able to submit my paperwork and sign documents all online which made the process really quick and simple. I highly recommend this bank and Travis Smith.
