Employees were helpful but the car was in terrible shape. The gas tank was half empty when the paperwork claimed it was full, it stank of cigarettes and weed, windshield wipers needed replaced, maintenance was 1500 miles overdue, and the tires were completely bald. Driving this car in the rain was nearly impossible. Maintain your cars and tires better or you're putting your customers' lives in danger.

Just perfect ! No lines , they had all my data , swiped my card and I got the number to pick up my car one level above … pickup took me 10min at most . Same on return. Follow the signs for „rental car“ , follow the signs for Budget car (2. level in car park) and show your car to the agent . Took me again just 10min. (Check if you receive your receipt my email , it might need 15min. Mine never showed up but the guys at the Hertz counter helped me right away to get a print out) (hertz - budget - thrift all the same at this place)

I had the worst rental experience EVER! I live in Indianapolis and reserved a 15 passenger van (paid in full upfront) at this location because it was the only one i could find. Drove 2+hrs to pick it up, only to find out they didn’t have the 15 passenger van I had reserved (why do they allow to reserve if not available? Any other budget location I checked online would show available or not). The only passenger van available was for 12 passengers. My frustration (to say the least) immediately kicked in because I needed a 15 passenger van & that’s the only reason I was willing to make the drive. The van I reserved had been double booked & I was forced to accept what they had available. Which is not what I wanted. I could have easily found that same 12 passenger van in Indianapolis minutes from my house. It was a waste of time & money driving 4+hrs (to & from) to get something I knew was available in my hometown. Oooh and to top it off, the rear A/C did NOT work! Not to mention the bad wipers! This whole car was scary to drive. Especially driving through the Smokey Mountains in the rain. But we didn’t have a choice, we were forced to deal with it. This is a terrible way to play with people. We made it home safe, thanks to God!

Rented us a car that had a transmission, parking brake and emission systems failures after driving for 20 minutes. The vehicle was obviously not checked out prior to renting it. We were left in a dangerous situation, as the car died on the highway and I was barely able to get it up and off the exit ramp. A police officer used her car to push the car off to a safer location and stayed with me until the tow truck arrived. It took over 2 hours for a tow truck to come and take the car, because they ordered it from a dealership that was much further (about 20 miles) away from my location - and there was several closer dealerships. We did not receive a replacement car for about 4 hours after the car was picked up. I explained the problem to the representative when I returned the vehicle. She said she would escalate the issue to her manager. After 7 days, I have still not heard from anyone. I will not rent from Budget again!

Rented a car for 42 days which was great. I returned the car two hours early and the parking attendant said his scanner would not accept the return so I had to go to the front desk. There were 15 people in line and after waiting 30 minutes a lady at the desk was able to check me in and gave me a faded unreadable receipt and did not discuss any additional fees. Two days later I received a $582 late fee on my credit card statement. Called customer service and they refunded the charges they said it must have been an error on the front desk, I was not excited to get charged a late fee when I brought the car back early.

Great people. Quick service. My only constructive criticism is with their funky reservation policy where you can reserve a car, but might lose the car if you don't pay for it in advance. If you do pay for it in advance, they have a touchy cancellation policy that is not business travel-friendly. Seems out of character for all of the other consumer friendly service they provide.

We had a very positive experience with Budget. We were upgraded when we picked up our rental and had a very quick checkout process. Returning the vehicle was also very quick and easy. Had a great rate and would definitely rent again.

Sherri and Shayna really went above and beyond to help me out. My wife and I rent here frequently, and the service is always fast and friendly. During our most recent rental I left two items in the car. These two ladies went to great lengths to locate the items and ship them to me! Wonderful service and people! Thank you so much, and we will see you next time.

Someone from the office called me the morning of my reservation to tell me they didn't have a vehicle for me and that it was my responsibility to call customer service to see if any other locations had vehicles available. Customer service sent me to a different location an hour away. That location's phone went to a full voicemail and when I got there, they didn't have any vehicles, either, and suggested I go back to the original location to take up my grievances there. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They did refund my reservation, but I have no car and I wasted my whole day NOT getting said car.

Very pleased with my experience at this location. Jani was one of only 2 employees working with an influx of customers and they handled it very professionally. I had a canceled flight the night before and was picking my car up very late. Despite this, Jani helped put me at ease and re-arranged my booking so that I had ample time to return the car at the Toledo location despite the big change in pickup times. The car was clean and handled very well. Extremely pleased and will be using Budget in the future after a poor experience with Hertz just 1 day prior to this.
