5 Best supermarket in Sacramento, California (CA) 2024

What a horrible experience shopping at this store. The staff is absolutely rude and unprofessional in helping the customers. I waited over ten minutes at the seafood section, I worker saw me waiting and he completely ignored me and kept filling his ice over the fishes. When asked for his assistance in getting the crabs 🦀, he told me to get it myself 🤬🤬😡😡. The meat department are also the same. I’ll take my money and businesses elsewhere. ~Mikal

My problem is with the friendliness of the staff and his willingness to help others. This older asian couple browsed the regular checkout lanes (lines backed up) and decided to come to self-checkout since they were only purchasing carrots. Mind you ONE ITEM. They did not know how to ring up the carrots. The self-checkout employee was rude and did not bother to physically help them. He gave directions, which is useless and said it in a condescending tone. Let me remind you that the self checkout had no lines with other registers opened. He just stood by his monitor unwilling to move his body a couple steps to press "carrots" and "pay now". I understand in times where it is busy, but this time, it would have done him no harm no take two seconds to help out. I can't stand people like that so I decided to help the poor couple out. If you're going to be working in a community of minority, please teach your employee to not be ignorant and rude to those who can't speak or understand English (this is not the first time). He read their body language and knew exactly what they needed assistance with. I'm sure these people would rather have an actual human help them out, but mind you, only about two registers were opened so there is a lack of service and it is why they resort to self checkout. This was on 6/24/2022 @ ~ 18:15. This feedback has been submitted to the survey count. Although I don't know what good this will do, I have hope that this negative review will impact the store. I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble, but rather to have the higher ups educate their employee about the community in which they serve and how to assist their demographic in a kind and compassionate manner. ~Vickie

Been coming to these place couple times since I recently moved. The costumer service is horrible people are rude. The person making the food gave us a look when we told him he got our order wrong. The person in the carneseria wasn’t nice either. The bread seems to be old. The cashiers do not greet or tell you the total or nothing. ~Diana

It was a wonderful shopping experience at this place. Especially Manisha. She was phenomenal. Absolutely knowledgeable and humble. Great customer service. Thanks Manisha for helping. You were fab. ~Mahesh

I had a grocery order pickup from 7-8a & also an online return. I arrived at 730a & was not aware Customer service did not open until 8a to do my return. I waited 30 minutes for customer service to open & was denied my Walmart return because I was told I needed a box. The return instructions says you can return an item to any Walmart and does not state a box is required & I called and confirmed this with customer service. I've never needed a box when returning my Walmart online order to a Walmart store ever! The manager backed up this ridiculous not required policy. I filed a complaint to Walmart which again verified the items can be returned with or without a box. This was very inconvenient and waste of my time and the store needs to know their own policy. & I'm sure they are aware of high gas prices are & had the nerve to tell me to go home and get a box. This is Walmart! Don't y'all have boxes?? WTH! I will not be returning to this store due to its incompetent manager. Do better! ~Kaneisha
