6 Best clothing store in Sarasota, Florida (FL) 2024

It's been a while since I've been to this store. I was there this morning and wow what a difference since the last time I was there. The last time I was there it was like a standard department store. Clean and lot's of inventory to choose from. This morning when I went there it looked like they're getting ready to close the place. Hardly any inventory and the whole back was closed off. it also wasn't very clean. Had kind of a grungy feel to it. Definitely won't be back. Better off going to Burdines or Marshalls if your looking for deals in a clean atmosphere. ~Neil

This place is great. I buy my straw and rabbit/Guinea pig food here. Very inexpensive. A friend says the clothing is overpriced. My biggest complaint is that the women who work at counter are somewhat rude. It’s very off putting. Every time I come in, they are rude so it’s not a one time thing. Being as everything is online now, it’s nice to deal w/an actual person once in awhile, not these ladies though. They both act like having to wait on you is a huge inconvenience to their day. ~Jennifer

Can somebody check on these people that work here? Last month I asked a man who was managing the store that day if by chance the fitting rooms upstairs were open. I was greeted with an agressive "NO! We are understaffed because nobody wants to work here!" I said okay... So fast forward today, I go into the store again with a friend. And the fitting room was open! Awesome! We wait in line. Immediately greeted with weirdness by the fitting room employee. My friend didn't know she was talking to her so the employee says really loud, WELL IGNORE ME THEN! Should have said something there but I let it slide. Two minutes later I hear another employee come in her dressing room to call her an inconsiderate person. Why you ask? because she walked out of the room for literally 10 seconds to show me the blazer she wanted for her new job, while there was a line. They say they are understaffed. We were only in the fitting rooms for 5 minutes at the most. I would understand if we were teenagers goofing around. We had probably 5 items between the both of us, and there were multiple people trying on things that were in the fitting rooms before us. Were they chastised? No. Obviously, she went to go tell somebody that she was treated so weird, and who was she greeted by? the employee, Marianne, that called her inconsiderate (who turned out to be the manager!) You can guess how that went... I now understand why they are so understaffed. It is a reflection on the company overall that they are pushing these managers to their psychological breaking point. On the other hand it is unacceptable they are using customers as their punching bag. If this isn't corrected how is anybody going to want to work here? Shop here? ~Syndie

Awesome service and awesome menu options! Whether you want something light or heavy they have great options to meet your needs. All of their salad options are unique so it was difficult to choose! I went with the Grilled Shrimp Salad but opted for different dressings! It was very filling but I would definitely order something new next time. The Brussels were to die for and were a generous portion. ~Marley

Just waited in line for 20 minutes while 2 managers stood there watching one girl struggle on the register. Stores a disaster. Managers could do muchhh better pac sun is way better dont waste your time here ~Kiraaa

Went to UTC Sarasota on a Sunday to purchase jeans and realized that the same jeans online was $10 off. Asked one of the associates if they would price match and they said no, I have to order it online. First of, these kids has 0 customer service. No common sense- it’s like you have to show them what they are there for. So I placed the order online with store pickup option since I was already at the mall. I was hoping to get a confirmation email stating it’s ready for pickup within the 2 hour window while I was at the mall but no. Come Tuesday afternoon and still no confirmation email and so I had to call customer service. This will be the first and last purchase. I’ve never encountered horrible customer service. Once I receive the item from the mail if I’ll ever get it) I’ll definitely return it and spend my money elsewhere. ~Danielle
