6 Best sporting goods store in Tampa, Florida (FL) 2024

Nice place. Nice atmosphere. Don't sell everything for sports but close. Folks were helpful and nice. Prices are competitive but didn't find mega bargains. We'll be back. ~E.

This used to be a nice store, but it has become simply awful lately. It was all rearranged and it's impossible to navigate. They made the part with water and soft drinks longer than the rest of the aisles, so you simply bump into it if you don't pay attention. I mean, who does that? Who makes the aisles uneven? What is wrong with the designer? They also made the space between the aisles so small that you run into other people. On top of that, customer representatives who are supposed to put merchandize on shelves during the night (isn't that why walmart is no longer 24/7, so customer representatives restock at night?) are all over the place and very rude during the day. You can't move around this store! It takes hours to go and find everything with everyone so crammed together. I will avoid this place from now on. I live in the area, but luckily there are other choices. ~Anca

I’m a new runner training for my first marathon- in other words I knew nothing upon walking into this store. Aaron helped me every step of the way, helped me find the right shoes for me (also dropped a ton of knowledge that got me excited) and gave me the full confidence that I was purchasing the correct thing. Highly recommend to promote Aaron ahead of peers as he is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and just overall really made my experience great. ~williamblakeloggins

Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable shoe fitting. The staff did a great job analyzing my husband's and my feet, gait, and our running needs and then had us try on a variety of personalized options with no pressure. I normally don’t come to this Walmart since there’s a closer one to my home. This location use to be super busy but it seems to be getting better. I ordered a toy for my grandson and picked it up in the store which was really fast since there was no one else in the line. ~Veronica

I HAVE NEVER, I MEAN NEVER HAD SUCH A SUBPAR NO LESS THAN SUBPAR EXPERIENCE at any Finishline, like I had here. The staff was not helpful at all everyone was just standing around talking amongst themselves as if the customers could go in the back to get their own shoes. The staff actually started at my family and I and laughed and snickered still with no help and this included the STORE MANAGER Jada, who I did not know was the manager until we asked 1 of only 2 helpful associates Corey for the manager and to my surprise it was her. I will be following up with corporate this was just an unacceptable experience and money was still spent in this store, nooooooo! I WILL NEVER RETURN EVEN IF THEY CHANGED THE STORE TO SOMETHING ELSE. ~Andrea
