I've gone to different locations of Valvoline multiple times for an oil change and always felt like they did a quick and thorough job, but I was pretty disappointed by the service I received at this location today. I needed an oil change but also specifically wanted the check and refill of the tire pressure that's included. While the full service change was going on, the guy running my lane was printing out and highlighting a list of additional cost services he said I needed, which I hadn't had before in past visits. When he said I was all set and could turn the car back on, I saw that the numbers for the tire pressure had not changed at all (you can see each individual tire on my car display) and when I asked about it he checked and realized no one had done the tires. As this is one of the few things I can easily see myself on the car, it made me nervous about what other included services they had not actually done, and also a little annoyed that he was spending his time trying to sell me on additional services rather than making sure the ones I was already paying for were done. After a short amount of time, during which I wasn't able to get any sense that someone was going around to each tire and filling them, he said they were done. When I turned the car on and checked again, the numbers were still the same and he said they would recalibrate as I drove. However, after I left, drove to two different locations, and turned the car off and back on, the tire pressure in the two right tires (which were the ones that were lower) stayed the same number, and the back right tire then actually went down one. When I called to express my frustration, I was connected to a manager who said the guy said they were definitely filled up and maybe the tire sensor was broken. When I said it seemed pretty unlikely the tire sensors giving an exact pressure number in two of the tires both suddenly weren't working after giving no indication of that, he just made other excuses rather than the obvious answer that they had done a rush job on a service they had forgotten to do and the tires weren't filled properly. I had been hoping at the very least, there would be an offer to come back in when I could for them to actually look if the sensors are in fact broken and if not, provide a discount on my service and properly fill the tires, but there was nothing. The cost of the oil change along with the "extra oil charge" they add on is very expensive, and it's really disappointing to feel like it wasn't done carefully and correctly.
** My back right tire is now completely flat, and the car has not been driven since the oil change, so clearly is from some issue they created. Incredibly frustrating. ~C
