15 Best grocery store in Columbus, Ohio (OH) 2024

This place has the best meats for cheap around. I didn't even know that this place was here on Lockborn rd till a friend shown me it have. I spent 65 dollars and just about found every thing I needed ~Justin

I am not a bulk shopper - this just happens to be the closest store that has some groceries by my home. It’s more of a convenient stopping spot than somewhere to shop regularly. Their prices are high their selection of things is not amazing but it does save time if you just need bread or something simple. ~Shannon

This Kroger is already not my favorite because it gets easily overcrowded and that's how it stays the majority of the day. However after today it's my least favorite. (Jun, 25 -22-) My keys fell out of my pocket in the store and I went back in to ask if anyone had brought them up. I first went to ask the security guard, and after saying excuse me three times he finally turned around to me. Only to say "I can hear you" while having given no indication that he could while I was saying "excuse me". He was then rude to me while I asked him my question and his only help was to suggest I had left them at the checkout, when in fact I knew I had not. He wasn't wearing a mask yet insisted I back up further away from him also. I was masked and the store was loud. I don't know if he was just having a bad day but I really will avoid coming here in the future because everyone seemed exasperated by me needing help. The front desk did finally help me, and they were very kind but that hardly makes up for this situation. ~Oli

I felt like I wasn't welcomed there. African American not wanted. And they were using needles in the meat department weird. ~Ty

I live in a nearby neighborhood and rarely ever go here myself. This is the worst kroghetto I’ve ever been to. The parking lot alone is terrible. Homeless people and sketchy as hell. My partner does most of our families shopping and sometimes has to stop here “for convenience” and it’s never convenient. They are always out of stuff and when they do have the items we need that are almost always expired! We don’t bother trying to buy our kids yogurt here anymore from the amount of times it’s been expired and sitting on the shelf ready to buy! He just came back from a trip to this location and the only pasta they had was a couple of dusty boxes that expired in 2017!!! Not even kidding! This is not just a result of Covid. Don’t even try to lie and tell me that. Expired pasta from 2017 should say enough. When we first moved here his first two trips here the liquor store was being robbed. The last visit there was a DV situation at the check out where the guy involved punched a woman in the face. This is one of many DV situations whitenesses here. He doesn’t feel safe and that speaks volumes to me. Recently they decided to remove check out lanes with cashiers and they installed more self checkout lanes which has made shopping and checking out even worse! The restroom are disgusting, I’m certain if the health department ever laid eyes in there this location would be shut down immediately. I feel bad for any unfortunate and unaware blind people that have to used the restroom here. The cops on duty here are more interested in texting rather than actually doing anything. The employees have been nothing less than rude in most situations. I feel bad for any employee that is actually trying to do their job here. I wish they would just demo this place. ~Lynsay

This is what you’re in for at this poorly managed location. The store is always packed and they rarely have more than one regular checkout open. They close self checkouts on one side because they can’t stay staffed to keep a babysitter on both sides. The shelves are almost always missing popular items or things on sale. The fact that the GM and RGM are still employed is crazy to me. Kroger corporate should be ashamed of this location. ~Ed

Okay dude straight up this was a pretty nice Kroger. Kroger's my favorite place do my grocery shopping I feel they always have the best deals and this one is no exception. It looks a lot bigger on the inside than it does on the outside take that how you will it was a very clean store and the staff was pretty friendly I found everything I needed relatively quickly. I don't live around here but if I did I'd come here often. Check it out if you're in the area. ~AL

Very convenient location for myself as I live within a mile . The store is mostly clean inside an the lines are not always long . The cashiers seem to be nice to people and helpful when asked. They offer rug cleaning machines you can rent they have a kiosk for your cell phone and also an ATM . They do have a cop at the door to make sure the peace is kept. They offer a service to pay your bills like electric bill, gas and water bill .I'm not sure what all services they have but many I'm sure . They have a liquor store inside and also a pharmacy . A bakery that has cakes and cupcakes and a meat department with cutting area and also lunch meat and cheese area . They have flowers like roses an such .They do not have a little clinic. I often use the Kroger's app to get digital coupons and get deals on items . They have only a few electric wheelchairs available for the handicapped. I wish stores would find a way to post there phone number on the handicapped parking area for those that are not able to go inside by themselves and retrieve a electric wheelchair themselves. So that one may call and have it brought out to them this is something I believe would help so much . This isn't the best neighborhood but most people mind they own business. They have a Redbox I believe outside this location and also a gas station . ~Mary

Nice size Dollar tree, everything seems well stocked whenever I go. Staff is always very friendly which is ALWAYS a huge plus! I've had zero complaints the 3 times I've been there! ~Ashley
