9 Best bank in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (OK) 2024

I had a wonderful experience at this bank branch. I am impressed with Robert the manager, he knew customer after customer by their name as they came in to the lobby. I have been banking with IBC for 5 years now and none of the other branches provide customer service like that. This bank has bad policies and turnover with employees but good to see that they have a good manager. ~Roger

This is by far the worst experience in a bank I have ever have. Been in here in lobby for 15 minutes and no acknowledgment. I see why they have a 2.6 star review. Here is another 1 star. ~Sam

This branch was nice years ago before our friends south of the border took over this entire neighborhood. Now it and the surrounding community looks like a flea market. Unwashed windows and metal plates across the front door to deter break ins.This bank will surely become a taco hut in the near future after it gets closed down. Shame to see nice places in OKc go downhill like this. Manager has called my home over a bad review. I have since opened accounts at another bank. ~Charles

I don't recommend the app or opening a bank account with Bank Of Oklahoma. They will hold your funds for over a week on your first deposit, so if you have bills to pay be prepaid to behind or evicted because they will not lift the hold for any reason. They do not care about their customers. I recommend using something along the lines of Chime. For the first deposit I had instant access to the funds. Don't let their mobile check deposit and other advertised benefits fool you into their trap. I have been a law enforcement officer in the state of Oklahoma for 9 years. I proudly served and protected the citizens of a small town. Unfortunately being a small town I do not have access to direct deposit. I decided to try Bank Of Oklahoma and instantly regretted it. They flat out lied to me and told me they could have the hold releases on an earlier date and when I called again the hold period had increased. I don't do my job for the money but it puts a roof over my head that I could now possibly lose due to this Bank's ridiculous hold procedure that they claim is supposed to help me. ~Montreal

This is the worst bank ever, If you deposit a check it will take 2 weeks to clear, they hold your money, don't deal with this bank. I deposit a check from my employer and they put it in hold until I send them a pay stub for the check to resales. Unbelievable they control your money not you. ~Sam

Horrible experience trying to open a business account! Banker had to go to Google to answer my questions. Bank management sat at his desk and did nothing to help after two requests. No thanks ~Bryan

I absolutely adore EVERYTHING and EVERYONE at my local branch and the Nichols Hills location. I’ve come across a few frustrating moments that had me ready to visit my other banks and close this account, however the Local Customer Care is beyond impeccable and that’s a hard thing to find. They will acknowledge and take care of any issues in a “Family” kind of way. Thank you all! Great Community Service! ~Heather

Worse bank experience EVER and extremely unprofessional and no concern for client safety. Went in to withdraw cash to purchase a car this weekend and trying to be discreet about the amount. Can only verify ID/account at teller window and not in an office or secure room is 1st problem, 2nd problem is the polite window teller (black woman)and loud and arrogant drive thru teller(black man) had an open discussion in front of the waiting customers on protocol and process for that transaction amount of money and then the drive thru teller continued to harass me about my job history and continued to repeat the amount of money I was asking to be withdrawn from my checking account. Gotta be a better way and not make the customer feel like a POS for trusting you with our money. 2pm Friday afternoon 9/2/22 ~Dennis

Rudest manager that I have ever dealt with at any branch across 2 states. Do not recommend N Penn branch, slow service guaranteed every time. Good luck with this bank…horrible all around. ~Jaclyn
