8 Best restaurant in Portland, Oregon (OR) 2024

Hey, it's McDonald's! But there's more to this one. It is open 24 hours, and the location not far off I-5 is great. Not bad as far as parking, but on a Saturday when my little grandson was having his first birthday there, the parking lot did seem a little full. Regardless, the place is kept clean, the service and food are exactly what you want and expect in a McDonald's, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. We found this to be true even while holding a birthday party here, where we simply took over a sizable section of the restaurant merely by the presence of so many people. I've been to this location a few times in the past, and I have no doubt that I will be back again. ~Jim

This was my first visit to Burgerville. That was also in Terminal D, pdx airport after 8 pm. Me and my husband liked the burgers there. It was a value for money. We loved the “Fresh Strawberry Milkshake”. It was so creamy, thick and tasty made with ice cream and fresh strawberries. While returning from our trip, we again visited there just for this milkshake. ~Sourini

Had a short layover at PDX needed a quick bite, since I didn't order food for my flight. Good customer service and team of people. Worth the price. Ordered the "Dillon James". Delicious pizza. (Unfortunately no picture of the pizza) Other people waiting to board and on the plane raved about MOD Pizza and how good it was. How can you not try this place. Will definitely go back during my next layover ~Bea

The pizza is expensive. I ordered a 14” pizza with added chicken for a total of $24 without tip (over $27 with tip). The added grilled chicken was an extra $4, but they really skimped on the amount of chicken you get. I got about two small chunks of chicken per slice. I ordered the modern Margherita pizza, which tastes fine, but it’s a bit dry. The basil pesto sauce is drizzled on top instead of underneath the cheese, which isn’t enough, in my opinion. I wouldn’t eat here again. MOD Pizza is better to me. ~Christina

Stopped for a quick bite to eat, seems like the restaurant is closed to the public during Covid but the drive-through is opened. Pretty busy place but seemed to steadily move. The person taking my order and handing me my food was awesome. This person didn’t seem to give me a choice but to put a smile on. Their attitude was was not only super kind but also shared happiness and fun - WHAT A TALENT!!! Anyways, my order was accurate and good as well! ~Frank

I went here on a Friday night and was skeptical because it was empty. At the bar, there’s 32 Ciders on tap and it was delicious and great service! I’ll definitely come back in the future because there’s so many great local ciders on tap. I’d recommend you check this place out ~Helga

My husband took me here for our anniversary dinner - it exceeded our expectations. He read the wonderful reviews online and was surprised we hadn't come across this place before. The place is huge and is beautifully designed inside with a downstairs for special events. It was near-booked when he got the reservation two weeks ago so I'm glad we squeezed in! The food was absolutely delicious and service was very attentive. They were all so kind. My husband ordered a steak dish and they accidentally sent out the mushroom/vegan version. He didn't realize it until he started eating it and decided not to say anything because it was the same menu price and tasted amazing. I think the manager realized their mistake and came to correct it. My husband said don't worry about it and they asked like 3 times if he was sure haha. Then our server came by to personally apologize. Later he came by again to say they were going to remove it from our tab. THEN when they brought out our dessert they brought out their cookie dessert complimentary for our anniversary. This place just takes hospitality seriously and it shows. They take special care of you here and the dishes are pieces of art. Thanks for a memorable evening, we'll be back! Vegetarian options: Mushroom dish was delicious! Parking: Found nearby street parking. Dietary restrictions: Server specifically asked when we sat down if we had any dietary/allergy concerns. ~Kate

An amazing Mediterranean deli with awesome choices. The staff is extra kind to help you with your orders incase you don't understand the cuisine well. The place cannot be more authentic than this. Amazing options for vegetarians too. Ask the person on the counter to help you incase you don't know what to order. Ample seating area inside the restaurant. You check out the menu either on the wall or download it via QR and place an order at the cash counter. Food should ideally be ready in 10 mins. Must visit place! Features: Very well maintained place with extra care taken to social distancing and to maintain covid protocols ~George
