Best gift shop in Williamsburg, Virginia (VA) 2024

Incompetent help, useless self checkout. I was ready to check out and was directed to the new self checkout aisle. Once there I received nothing but useless, incompetent help. I couldn't get the plastic bags separated, but the young woman who was supposed to assist seemed to enjoy my predicament. She smiled and did nothing. Then, when I placed my items on the right side of the register, I got a blaring robo message about an unknown item. Only then did this woman tell me I had my items on the wrong side. After that things only got worse. The register kept asking me what kind of card was I using? I must have answered that question 4 times. Then it wanted to know if this was a Visa debit or a regular debit. I answered Visa. Wrong answer, I guess. My card was declined. (Which is the first time ever.) At that I had enough. I said I was done and started to walk out. At that this idiot of a woman called out, "Have a nice day!" To which I wanted to say eff off, but restrained myself and left. That's it for me. From now on I will only shop for household items online. ~R.

This is always clean and fully stocked store. Kids love coming here. There's so much to choose from. I get so many things for all my kids and home as well. ~Anabelle

This place! Quality merchandise and excellent staff! ♥️♥️ We walked in on a busy day with an 80 lb dog and they didn’t blink an eye. We wanted 3 McGregor scarves (me, my son, my dog) and they had to search for one. They had no problem helping as they had genuine smiles on their faces! They gave excellent customer service and my dog left with a bone. I wish I could have purchased more! Their products are high quality! ~torie
