Hotel, atmosphere was perfect. Lots to in area & w/in Hotel Sports bar was my favorite place to hand whole attending USJN Basketball tournament. My room was very nice as well. Housekeeping did fabulous job of not only up keeping hotel, but making themselves available to assist. Several throughout my stay ask if I needed help with anything (maybe I looked lost) but that was outstanding customer service. My experience was wonderful!!

Change of Heart... Location was OK, Improved to Good , and now Terrible. 10/31/18 Post: Wrote a review about a year again... was impressed with the changes that were made. But this past week... Epic Fail! The leadership at this location is the WORST. Customer Service is definitely not a strong point within the leadership. Reach out to the branch and the regional regard t he issues I faced. Branch informed me I could go to another location and swap the car out. Regional never replies to any calls or emails. Wish I could give Negative stars or Zero Stars - Me giving this one star was forced. ====================================================== Previous Post from 2017: OMG! Definitely a big improvement at this location. Walked in on Thursday to pick up my rental. The keys and contract was printed and ready to go with the car parked outside! Customer Service was amazing as well. Now if we could just get someone to answer the phone when you call.

Did not honor reservation because they did not have an equivalent car available . They said they would upgrade the car but only if we paid more. We travel all the time and ALWAYS they honor the price of the reservation even if they have to upgrade us to a better car. Terrible service. Even the manager was completely useless.

The manager is very professional. The center is all ways clean. Greeted with a smile no matter how Busy the center is. I really enjoy renting from Hertz when I can deal with someone like Phil, the manager at the Hertz Gaylord. Phil you are a 10+😊

Rude..1 the driver was late picking me up from the collision place where my car was being fixed, 2 the rental they put me in WAS NO WHERE NEAR COMPATIBLE TO MY 2015 Hyundai Sonata,3 when I went to trade it in for something compatible the MANAGER was very rude and unprofessional, 4 the guy who just came and picked me up WAS MAD DUE TO ME ASKING TO SEE HIS ID TO VERIFY HE WORKED FOR HERTZ. Needless to say not only will I not be using them again, I definitely would not use them or recommend them to no one. I was initially alarmed when I pulled up and saw several Police Cars ~ Something had happened, but Anthony at the front desk assured me that my wait would not be long and all was well with my reservation. Upon my return of car, I found out my pick up Ride was gonna be delayed. A driver (SEAN) was assigned to get me home without delay! I'm loving my HERTZ GAYLORD family

The car itself was very nice, didn't have any problems with it. Unfortunately, customer service sucks! I don't know who the lady is at the desk, but she needs to be retrained or trained for certain situations. If a customer calls for detailed information then she needs to allow the customer to speak to someone that can help him/her. What is the purpose of being there if you can't help. Secondly, when customers are using points or promotions, it would behoove the agent to double check and make sure all funds are accurate. I never had an issue making contact and extending my rental, understanding my contract, and returning it, until now. Oxon Hill's location needs to do better. The only reason why it gets 3 stars is because one of the agents took the time to help me get my contract resolved do to miscommunication from the other agent, and the car was decent.

I spent a small fortune traveling in a taxi to pick up the vehicle. When I arrived at the location to pick up my rental vehicle, I was informed that no vehicles were available. The man on duty rudely proclaimed that there was nothing he could do. I subsequently had to travel to Reagan airport, via taxi again, to pick up another vehicle. I am appalled at the rude and unprofessional service of Hertz. When I contacted Hertz about the issue at hand, I was informed that someone would call me back within 24-28 hours about my concerns. Today is 08/06/14 and I have yet to hear from anyone. Steer clear of this location, and perhaps Hertz in general.

The 1 chair was full of papers, papers and boxes were everywhere, definitely not an image that Hertz could endorse; the check-in procedure wasn't accurate as the white ticket on the car dash did not match the blue ticket I was given and on check-out I was issued no white ticket (as I was told by the agent to expect) as I used my room key to open the gate and finally I used my debit card to pay and Hertz policy is to check my credit for an $80.00 purchase which lowered my credit score. Will not rent a car from them again.
