Best USPS ever. Been going 12 years. Also best postman, Alex..the BEST! People who work at the counter here are so friendly and swift! Plenty of parking. Good hours. A perfect post office.

The Olney USPS has stellar customer service and exudes professionalism. If I ever have problems with the package - which is extremely extremely rare, I call the post office supervisor (Preston) and they get to the bottom of it within 24 hours. Great job !!

R.I.P. Ed. You were the best one there and will be very fondly remembered. It isn't the same without you and you are already missed. Overall, this isn't a horrible Post Office. The inside counter area isn't designed to handle large crowds and gets crammed during the busy times of day. Unlike Laytonsville, this is a full service Post Office. Be sure to be inside at least a few minutes prior to the posted closing time, as they do lock the doors early. The staff is, with the glaring exception of "MissJay" (avoid her), usually polite and competent. Don't bother going if you work normal hours during the week, as they're only open from 9-5 Monday through Friday. Their weekend hours are only 9-Noon on Saturdays and they're closed on Sundays. There is a UPS Store right around the corner with convenient weekend hours.

Just woke up to a cruel reality that an employee of USPS Olney MD stole my son's phone that we were returning to Tmobile for a replacement phone. Shame on you USPS, I'm going to make you pay!!!! Avoid this place at all costs!

I have been going to the Olney post office for years and have always found them helpful and friendly. Preston was particularly supportive recently helping me organize a mail hold when I couldn’t get back to town when I originally planned. I also think a lot of Miss Jay who is the most knowledgeable about everything. Thank you Olney Post Office for all you do!

I mail prepaid packages from the Post Office in Olney, Maryland. The cashiers always demand I use the priority mail bin for prepaid postage, so I do. Two of my packages were lost at this post office. The packages were never scanned, never made it out of the post office, and after submitting a claim, USPS did nothing to find it or resolve the issue. I was never contacted by the manager even though USPS affirmed they would. I now choose to stand in line to ensure that my packages are scanned and I receive a receipt due to the incompetence of the cashiers at the Olney Post Office. I will not be falling for that scam again and will continue to get a receipt for my prepaid mail.

Just got back. The line was so slow I could have delivered my package to England faster, myself. One worker's nose was completely exposed. (this review is written while we should be in masks). Only 2 people at the counters. Step it up, USPS.! It is the holidays!

Overall, this is a good local post office and I have found all of the staff to be professional and helpful except for one woman. She handles one of the counters and is often rude and short with customers. Everyone knows who she is. Today I went in there and she was especially loud and rude including raising her voice. Her boss needs to remove her from that position. Some people are not capable of being professional when servicing the public and it creates a very uncomfortable situation for everyone.
