Homegoods location: Pasadena, MD MOD: Kelly, Fri, 2/18/2022 I asked Kelly, Assistant Manager if I could do a charge hold on a lounge chair that I really wanted. She responded that they cannot hold any items longer than three days. I explained that I am moving in a week and I really do not have a way of picking the chair up before I move, and asked if she could make an exception. She was very adamant that no exceptions could be made. So, although I was disappointed, I said okay and proceeded to walk away. She then said, “Anyway, everything has to be paid for upfront”. I didn’t understand her reasoning for saying that because that was the very first thing that I said to her when I asked if I do a charge hold, can it be held for a week. So at that point, I was very annoyed and said to her, “That is not what I asked you”. I can’t help but wonder if she would’ve been so inclined to reiterate the fact that it had to be paid for upfront if I wasn’t an African American woman. I truly feel that her last comment when I was walking away was completely racially motivated. I doubt seriously that she would’ve given that same response to a white woman. This racial profiling has got to stop. It’s unacceptable and I will not continue to spend my money any place that I don’t receive the same level of respect as any other consumer.

Loved it. Came the day after Christmas. They still had plenty of items, store was extremely clean and organized. Employees are super friendly.

Great selection, employees very helpful with return and exchange for one lamp that wouldn't work. They even checked and had another store hold me the replacement lamp. Wonderful customer service.

Homegoods is homegoods it's a magical and wonderful place! The manager was sweet the cashier Steve was a joy to speak too and he was very careful with our items! Overall a wonderful experience def will be back! We found our tree skirt for xmas it was a great price and it will go great.

Store is amazing, great finds and great variety. Everything is organized. However one cashier in particular was extremely unpleasant. I was there tonight and my mother was in line, I felt if the cashier was purposefully being dismissive and it kind of seemed like a race issue unfortunately. I come here all the time and I have never seen her here before. My mom asked for a gift receipt and she did not reply. She asked my mom to hit the button to print her receipt, my mom then repeated and said "I also need a gift receipt." She stated "I heard you!". I stepped in while waiting in line and stated "You did not acknowledge her when she asked for one initially. She argued back with me. I then stated "that is really mean and uncalled for." And then she proceeded to argue and create a scene, I told her to just stop. It is uncalled for. Might just have to go to Columbia one instead, unneccessary behavior.
