I was greeted after walking in but then the lady who may have been the mgr. asked the older gentleman to help me. He was kind and seemed knowledgeable but also appeared preoccupied and continued to walk off and in the back as I was trying to get feedback. Customers should feel valued and have employee's undivided attention while personal phones and other items should take the back seat.

I was not greeted. I was not offered help. I was not told that someone would be with me in a moment. I wasn’t even given the friendly white people smile. Instead I was eyed up and down as I was confused on what to purchase! I run into this everytime at mac and no lie, when I went into sephora I heard these girls saying “go to mac!” “No im not going because they’re rude”. I will NEVER spend money here unless I am contacted by a corporate member and apologized to. EDIT: A year later and MUCH HAS CHANGED. A TOTAL 360. I was greeted by all of staff members. I was very confused about finding a new foundation, concealer, powder, and brow pencil. The manager I believe hooked me up with an amazing associate with a similar skin color as I (caramel complexion) which was awesome because she shared the same problems that I had, so she was able to help me even more. I walked out with everything I had came in for. I didn’t get an E receipt so I couldn’t leave my review there, but hopefully someone will see this and give her the recognition she deserves!

All of the girls here are very catty and lazy except maybe 1/2. Which is why I stop going to this location as much as I use to. I called and stopped in twice this week asking for a certain eye shadow. The girls that were there assured my that this eye shadowed was being discontinued. I then checked on line and saw that it was in stock. Next I called the harbor east location, they still had it. So I go to the harbor east location, ask them if it’s gonna be out of stock. They told me that it was not on the discontinued list nor 40% off. They even called MAC Towson location in front of me minutes after I just called. The Who answered the phone from Towson location said that she doesn’t think they are gonna be discontinued and she doesn’t feel like looking on the list. They really need to do better at MAC in Towson, the attitudes and just the whole customer service experience there is poor.

I just wanted to take a moment to leave a positive review about a phenomenal employee at this location. An employee by the name of Davon provided me with the best customer service I've ever had at any MAC. He was genuinely personable and knowledgeable of the products offered. If all MAC employees were as friendly as Davon, I would shop exclusively at MAC for all of my cosmetic needs. Having been a MAC customer for over a decade, as well as being someone who personally works in customer service, I believe that recognition is incredibly important. Davon's approachable and extremely helpful service skills cannot be understated, and it is my sincerest hope that you this review is brought to the attention of the proper management to let him know what a wonderful job he is doing. I've also emailed corporate customer care to let them know how helpful he was.

The whole staff was polite and professional. Charles went ABOVE and BEYOND to not only help me with products but to correct the errors that I was making with makeup application and skin care. He was exceptional and helped me to further perfect my craft. He’s a great asset to the makeup community. ❤️

That is rude and pushy. I asked for help looking for a particular color lip pencil and the associate simply showed me where the color name are on the displays and basically suggested I look myself. They were sold out after asking another associate for help. I left and walked to Nordstrom and had a totally different experience. I won't be back.

This had to be the worst experience ever. it took 1 1/2 hours to do my make. I have great skin so there wasn't any reason this should have taken this long. The artist was long winded as HELL. He even stopped doing my make up to answer the phone, and then talked toooooo much. i was so annoyed and my make up didn't turn out right at all.... i was so mad. i will never visit this location again. oh and let me not forget to mention i felt like i was treated this way because of the color of my skin because everyone else that was not African american was treated fair. still not great but better then me

HOLY COW! Frist off- I don't understand how this MAC location has as many stars as it does on Yelp (4.5), when you google it and it only has 2.4 stars.. and honestly it should only have 1 or less. I have been to this MAC a handful of time. I have been there with makeup on dressed nicely and I have been there dressed like a bum in yoga pants. I have to say it doesn't matter what you are dressed like or wearing they treat you all the same... like crap. I am a HUGE makeup lover and MAC fan! I have been to MACs all over the world. This is worst MAC I have ever stepped into. Unless you are friends with someone there, don't expect to get help and even more upset if you are white don't expect to even be noticed. I have stood there waiting for help and have watch other women stand there and waiting for help also. I am going to list off things that have happened to me in this store 1- I went there and asked to try on a lipstick (they weren't busy) instead of applying it to my lips they handed me the lipstick and told me let them know how I felt about it. 2- I stood there for over 20 minutes waiting for someone notice me. Finally, someone asked me if I needed help. Asked her for what I wanted, she walked away and took me that it would be waiting for me at the counter. I wanted to ask her more questions.. but she was too busy talk to friends and laughing to notice I needed more help. I walked up to pay and the items I asked for were not at the counter. NEEDLESS to say, I walked out without anything. 3- I was standing in the store WAITING to be notice and finally got someone's attention for help and she answered "I about to get off" and then walked about without helping or getting someone else to help me. I could go on, but I am getting worked up and need to spot.. maybe I will update and share more later. long story short, unless you are in the cool kid's club don't shop at this MAC. I am planning on calling MAC headquarters and reporting this location.

(Review for mac counter in nordstrom) I would give no star if it was an option the make up artist are very rude I wanted to get my face done to see if I wanted to try them for the wedding i was in, they kept saying no one was available while 6 ppl stood around talking, said there was a list but I watched two older women walk up after me and ask if they could get their face done and were taken immediately! I was certainly discriminated against, they did not try to service me because they thought that I would not purchase like the older women would have, but i had every intention to buy as much make up i needed to keep up my look on my own they are horrible at this counter and very lazy NEVER GOING BACK AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD! Everyone working this past weekend acted very uninterested and lazy everyone was on break when they saw two young women walk up asking about make up and getting face done, Dumb asses didn't know we were ready to spend money that day and a lot! Their loss never returning there EVER!

This is the first time I have ever reviewed something, and I felt as though I had to because I have had such an awful experience ever time I come here. The staff are rude and disrespectful. They are abrasive and have horrible attitudes towards customer service. Their personal makeup looks so awful it's surprising customers here trust them to do their own makeup. The "makeup artists" are extremely unhygienic with applying customers makeup. The other customers are also rude and pushy. They store is overcrowded and dirty. This store needs a major facelift. Absolutely awful in every way.
