I was hanging out with a couple of friends in Back Bay when I found out that one of my earring's back was lost (probably due to pulling on and off my mask as we walked around the stores). I called the earring manufacturer for a replacement and was told that unfortunately, they do not sell parts. I felt down because that was my favorite pair of earrings and without a back I could not wear them safely. I searched for a jewelry repair store nearby and went into Small Pleasures. The lady was very nice. Although she could not find something like the original one, she managed to find something that would secure my earrings and gave me a pair of them. I tried to pay her for the backs, she refused and said that she would like to give them to me for free (!). I thanked her and left. It has been a couple of weeks. While I am still a bit sad that I lost the uniquely shaped back by the original earring designer, I have found that her backs are much tighter, and they have been holding my earrings tightly. More importantly, I can now roam around everywhere and pull my mask around without worrying about losing my earrings. :) Thank you, thank you!

Incredibly kind and sweet staff. We were visiting Boston and did not have a big budget in mind. Jared showed us ring after ring without ever making us feel unwelcomed. He made the whole experience incredibly fun. We ended up getting something custom made within our budget. Then covid hit and shut down most businesses. Jared and Shelley both kept in touch and kept me updated. I got my ring as soon as their business was up and running. It is absolutely stunning and worth the wait. I am definitely going to be a royal customer.

Absolutely blown away by the service my partner and I got while there. We saw the shop and spontaneously decided to pop in. Employees were incredibly kind, and one in particular, whilst most likely fully knowing we weren't going to buy anything (based on our young age and my own disheveled appearance) still nonetheless went through and showed us in person every piece we found interesting, and more, with no sense of obligation to buy anything at all. It felt like the three of us were just sharing our mutual appreciation for some of the uniquely and subtly characteristic pieces they had, rather than a back-and-forth between an "employee" and us "customers." They have an incredible selection of pieces from many dates. The man showing us around made no noticeable presumptions based on my own looks- I am a male with many piercings, didn't have the cleanest hygiene that day, and was wearing inexpensive, sometimes ill-fitting clothes. I was never in one moment given the feeling that a single one of my many questions was improper or too infringing for him to answer. Furthermore, the gentleman helping us (I wish I could remember his name) was able to bring each piece out for us to see and explained everything we were interested in with incredible detail. Throughout our time there, he talked about the specifics regarding each piece's history and the culture of the era in which they were made. He went on to show the differences in how certain jewels, rings, and necklaces were made back in the 1800's/early 1900's versus today's techniques, even going as far as to sketch diagrams of cuts/reflections of light, and used UV light to show the iridescence of certain gems. Frankly, this kind man embodied the epitome of a sincere gentleman. My partner and I had a blast- it was the highlight of our day, and the man showing us around ended up expressing that he himself enjoyed the experience very much. A gem of a place, if I may make such a pun. To anyone reading, please do feel free to stop by, even if you don't particularly plan on buying anything. You'd be surprised at the joy of seeing some of the unique pieces that you really can't find anywhere else these days. Rings and necklaces, when it comes to gems and style, have, I feel, become incredibly main-streamed in this day and age. I feel that most companies approach things with a "the shinier and more flashy, the better" approach, to the point of frankly gaudy and vain expressions that underlie so many designs. This store has pieces ranging a wide variety of tastes, and included many that didn't stand out due to their visual brightness or value of the gems, but rather through the soft elegance and smooth demeanor of the character they embodied, perhaps due to the times (oftentimes more than a century ago) they were made in, and the skill of the store in determining the value and expression of pieces they buy. Definitely some eye-catching yet truly artistic items. I tend to be a very picky person when it comes to jewelry that I find tasteful and beautiful and as such do not generally enjoy such things, but I was surprised by how satisfying the experience of just looking at some of this store's pieces was. I do hope to come back. It's really a wonderful store staffed by incredibly kind people. Thank you to the man who showed us around. You made our day :) If you're in any way a fan of tasteful jewelry, I feel you would be depriving yourself by not visiting this store. Again, thank you to the kind gentleman and to Small Pleasures as a whole. I hope you all have a wonderful week.

I came in with a broken necklace, and they were very helpful! The price was fair, and the process of dropping off the necklace was very quick and easy. Would highly recommend!

Quick, fast, friendly professional watch and jewelery repair service! I came in with 2 broken necklaces and three dead watches and I was in and out in around 10 minutes. During that time I was also able to ask some questions and get fitted for a toggle bracelet. Hands down 5 star experience!
