Overpriced, terrible service, and a general rip-off. I want to make it clear that 99% of what I'm writing has more to do with Kay's policies and very little to do with the employees at this location; most of them were extremely kind, courteous, and responsive. I went to drop my wedding band off for sizing on 10/31. We were informed it would be $130 (most places do it for free or FAR cheaper, apparently it would have been such had I bought the band from Kay) but I just wanted it done so fine, here's my money. I received my ring back on 11/22. It took a week to get to the mass warehouse they send their jewelry for adjustment but they promised it would be back by the sixteenth. My bone to pick is that for this amount of money and such a sentimental item, I would have hoped for at least some way to track the item's progress through the process or some kind of correspondence...at all. Instead it was on me as the customer to keep haranguing the employees about getting my ring back. I understand the difference between a corporation big-box jewelry place and a family run business, but I hope Kay updates their policies....or act least stops advertising themselves as a full service jeweler!

complete scam selling knockoff jewelry at a huge mark up. bought a chain for over 1,500 that is barely worth 600. Don't trust this company with your credit score, sharks in the water. take it for what its worth, these "deals" they offer are bogus. Paid off the whole credit card within 3 months of opening. They still can't confirm my account is closed, waited a month for my next statement. Credit score got absolutely slammed. thanks for the shiny golden headache.

Hakan and Jennifer were amazing! I'm really looking forward to wearing my jewelry but I also can't wait to see them again. Hakan helped me find the perfect gift for myself while also having such a professional/ compassionate approach. Jennifer was such an angel and explained what the stone meant and it really brought everything together. I had such a great experience. It makes me sad that others didn't have a good experience. Maybe try again and go to Hakan or Jennifer ❤️.

Snobby pretentious employee was absolutely no help at all. This store deserves negative stars even one star is too generous! I was trying to buy a mother’s day present but she was so fake. I don’t look rich an in fact I’m often mistaken for a teenager, even though I’m in my early 20s. And everyone that came into the store after me was greeted and served before I was.And then after waiting until I was the last person in the store! This employee keeps trying to tell me that everything was out of my price range which is about $200 - $400. Whenever I asked to see something she would pull out the most expensive of the bunch and just point to the price tag! Who does that?! Sometimes it wasn’t even the item(s) I asked to look at! And then she had the nerve to try to point me to their cheapest UGLIEST earrings! She wasn’t even trying to help instead she was trying to drive me out!

I had the most amazing experience at the Kay Jewelers Outlet in Somerville. Susanne was the kindest person and took her time to help me find the perfect Sapphire ring to honor my grandmothers memory. The store has such a wide selection of jewelry with unbelievable discounts. Susanne and Jen were both so helpful, professional and extremely nice. By far my best jewelry experiences. Thank you ladies for the help!! I love my ring and I am so so happy with my purchase here!

I made a purchase here and the ladies there were very helpful. It was a new experience for me and all of my questions were answered. The staff were very patient and polite. Although, I highly recommend to do some research on any questions or concerns regarding your desired purchase. This will provide a smoother process after meeting with a jeweler consultant at any place. Depsite the fact of my little knowledge about diamonds, I was very comfortable asking them questions to gain more insight. I read some poor reviews and I had a different experience with this location. I am delighted with my purchase and look forward to coming back for my future cleaning/inspections.
