Huge, huge outdoors and indoors market which includes multiple sheds and tons of vendors. We visited on a Sunday, and was a bit disappointed to find that most of the vendors were selling handcrafted items instead of veggies and fruits. Later learned from a local that Sundays are mostly like this with limited produce vendors (there were still quite a few, don't get me wrong, just not as many as we were expecting), and Saturdays are mostly fruits and veggies. From the limited farm goods vendors, the price were really nice compared to what we had in Columbus, OH, and the produces looked really nice. These vendors only take cash though, so make sure to bring cash instead of cards with you if you're planning on coming!

Loved this place! Came on a Sunday during summer - lots of quality vendors and a ton of variety spread over the 5 "sheds" of this market. Lots of fresh produce, lots of artisan crafts, local baked goods, t-shirts, souvenirs - so many vendors! They could have had more food trucks on a weekend, but the one we ate at was great, and the prices of everything were extremely reasonable!

Always a great time at the Saturday market! Lots of flowers, plants, produce, and food. I love the variety and the prices and vendors are great. There are many food options for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, organic, etc. bring cash, often it works better than using your card, or some vendors are cash only. Also bring a tote or wagon, you’ll probably end up picking up quite a bit of stuff.

This place is an absolute jem. I wish I lived in Detroit because it has almost everything you need, places to eat, flower show, book sales, murals in the market (no more sadly) and now matter how busy it is you can always find a place to park stress free. Can't wait for when I'm in town again!

Cannot say anything negative!!! The people are fun, eclectic, and inviting. People watching is half of the fun! There are deals everywhere to be had... You can find just about every food in season!!! Vegan, vegetarian, paleontin, gluten free, and on and on, can all find what they need. Just bring your patience with you it gets busy and crowded.

I'm 59 years old, in today's the first day I went to Eastern market by myself. Some of the friends won't be happy but I did what I could. I got my flowers I got home and everybody was really nice the pizza guy even gave me my money back when I told him I couldn't have tomatoes 2 days in a row. I forget the name of the place but it was Wood fired Pizza! On the flower vendors were perfect, and best of all they let you haggle the price down! I'm definitely going next year

We visited the market in the winter, there are two buildings of indoor vendors offering fresh food, flowers, etc, and some prepared food too. There are other stores and restaurants in the surrounding area as well. There is also tons of murals around the neighborhood, which I loved. I'd like to come back in the warm months when the outdoor market is open.
