Giving one star because the man that ended up stepping up and helping us was very sweet on (9/12/22). When we first walked in the lady was rude saying she’s working alone and had no help to take care of us until this guy came in and assisted. I also walked in with my service dog (that I have papers for) and she came right up to me and yelled that he needed to leave I explained he was a service dog and she continued to be scared of him (he was up against me in between my legs sitting) and telling me to leave right away. she did it in front of the whole store and made me very uncomfortable even when I explained he’s a service animal and I had brought him there before. I’m now at Verizon in Saugus and he is in here with me with no problems i highly recommend going to SAUGUS instead. That’s not my first problem with this lady at the reading location. (Pic is at Verizon in Saugus) where we got the new phone and had no issues, no thanks to this reading location

Absolutely horrendous. My wife and I attempted to update our phones at this store. We were met with instruction that there were absolutely no phones in stock and then told to order the new phone using our Verizon app rather than having the clerk assist. Let me rephrase: we went to the store to buy phones on the app because the store had no phones in stock. To add more to this mess, after sending the old phones back using the envelope and sticker sent with the new, the system insisted we never sent the phones (in spite of tracking information). After we called Customer Service, we were told there was nothing for them to do. I could understand that if this was the premiere week for the phone that it would be out of stock, but 5 months later?? I certainly will not go back to this store again, nor would I recommend anyone visit.

I’m literally standing in the store writing this. I’ve been sent in circles by this place. All I’m trying to do is trade in my phone. I’ve been here twice today already and all they’re doing is making excuses. Also all these employees have terrible customer service. Absolutely terrible.

Stopped by the Reading MA Verizon store on MLK day. I has locked myself out of my iPad so I needed a new tablet and I was eligible For a phone upgrade. TROY came over to assist me in why I was there. He made suggestions and offered advice on products Verizon has and current specials going on. TROY was very polite , professional and extremely patient. Especially when the system crashed with a payment still processing. He remained completely calm and tried many different ways to complete the transaction including cust service and being disconnected several times. TROY finally solved the problem on his own and everything went fine after that. I was in the store for 3hrs.But with TROY being so professional and the other staff members joking around my experience was still exceptional.

Not just the store but Verizon wireless is an absolute joke. Unexplained increases in bills and terrible customer service. You can never get ahold of someone unless you want to pay a bill.

Terrible experience. Made a 30 minute appointment to upgrade a phone. Was in the store for over an hour and worked with three different associates. None of them could figure out how to make the transaction. Left without a phone because they couldn’t process the transaction

Verizon is the most confusing phone company ever. They literally make everything a process. I’d rather deal with the IRS. The fact that when I go into a store and ask “do you have this phone in stock” the response is “I don’t know if we do you have to go online and see if it’s in stock I don’t know what is allotted to people” is literally the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life. See ya later Verizon, I’m going to T mobile. Learn some customer service

I'm confused why I was told they do not carry sim cards since I'm upgrading to a 5G phone (bought directly via samsung like everyone else in the world). Not sure why retail locations exist if I can't get full service and have to call in. Employee seemed annoyed/upset I didn't realize that it's appointment only which is totally understandable for Covid safety. Would shop again/2nd chance as I've had great experiences in the past.

I replaced a phone and I wanted to transfer information. The customer service person was mechanical and ice cold. She used one mode of transfer, requiring me to spend more than 60 minutes on the telephone. This neglect borders on incompetence. She sold me a worthless holder that I replaced on Amazon for a small fraction that was exponentially better. However, I had better experiences in the past, so I leave this 3 star rating. If it was my first trip I would not be so generous.
