I've had a noisy exhaust system for a while and I knew it needed work. This was the third place I tried. First place wouldn't touch my 1998 Sonoma because it was "too old and rusty". The second place told me I needed the pipe that connects the engine to the muffler and I would have to locate it or "...maybe he could jerry-rig something", but it sounded like he didn't really want to. He said I should call the dealership if I had to. I called SO MANY places. Searched online. I checked the junkyard parts database and finally called the dealership. No luck. No one has the part. I called America's #1 Muffler & Brake Service And he confidently said if he couldn't find the part he could make it. I got sidetracked with another issue and then was ready to fix the exhaust a month later. I called this shop again because he was clear and concise on the phone and sounded like they had experience recreating out-of-production parts. When I called, he remembered me/my situation and type of vehicle. I made an appointment for the following week to drop off the truck when they opened. The shop was easy to locate. The employee (owner's son) was friendly and professional. The drop off was quick. He called me a few hours later and said I didn't need the part at all. The existing part was fine and he just welded it back together. All that effort I put in to find the part - phone calls and hours searching online and I could have just taken it to this shop. Now I know they are honest and didn't charge me for a part I didn't need. I heartily recommend this shop. America's #1 Muffler & Brake Service rocks! Service: Exhaust

Scott and his team over at America’s #1 are top notch. I have been there before for brake problems and they took great care of me. I recently had a catalytic converter stolen from my car and Americas #1 had my exhaust system completely fixed the day that i dropped the car off!! Unbeatable prices and unbeatable customer service!

Great place. Clean and friendly. Best prices around. Quality service and quick turnaround on jobs. Had a muffler go bad under warrenty and they replaced same day I brought it no problem and 0 fees or issues. Went in with my 1999 Camry because it was a little loud. Scott gave me an estimate of $980 to repair the exhaust. I only paid about $1000 for the car. Took it to Dave’s on Mound between 9 and 10 mile, $200 for the same work. When I gave Dave the info on what needed to be fixed that I got from Scott at America’s #1, his mouth was wide open. He couldn’t believe what they wanted to charge me. I don’t know why there was such a huge price difference. Needless to say, America’s #1 can kick rocks!!!!

Had brakes, rotors, and shocks replaced today for a great price. Scott gave me a very reasonable estimate then called to tell me that the cost would actually be a little lower due to the car needing less done than I thought. Dropped off the car and it was ready by the middle of the next day. I'm very pleased, and as I told Scott -- I WILL be recommending him to my friends and family.

I've known Kevin as the patriarch and owner of this family owned business it seems like close to, if not twenty or more years. He, along with his sons, Scott in particular...have serviced my family's vehicles for years. When I have any type of vehicle issues I consult with them first.
