A staff member named Mondo helped me at the Rivertown location. He help me find the brand that I typically purchase and stated that one of the two products I needed to buy was exclusive to Ulta and that they don’t carry IT cosmetics anymore. Then the other product I needed to purchase was “online” only and when I tried to leave since they didn’t have either item I needed and said I would shop online Mondo wouldn’t let me leave without trying to get my to order online in store and ship it there for free so I would have to drive the 20 miles back to the mall at a later date for one one of the products I needed… I was already feeling a bit uncomfortable making this purchase since the price was substantially than other stores and when I said I would either come back to the store later after I browsed online and needed to think it over Mondo responded extremely rudely and passive aggressive by saying “thanks for not giving this store the sales commission so people can keep their jobs but WHATEVER” then he walked away. I very likely would have come back and or at least bought online from Sephora… I have been a beauty insider for at least 12+ years and spend way more that I should at Sephora in a given year. Because of the extremely poor attitude and service from Mondo, I have taken my business to Ulta and QVC and will no longer support Sephora of any kind on future purchases. It is bad enough that the prices here are substantially higher than competitors but the poor service makes me uncomfortable even walking into a Sephora. Mondo should not be working in a job that requires customer interaction and I have shared this experience with several others who will also no longer be supporting Sephora going forward.

My friend's wedding was today and she had scheduled and put a deposit down for her makeup appointment. She got a call today one hour before her appointment with Sephora cancelling her makeup appointment because the stylist called in sick. They did not even try to make it right or offer a phone number for one of their other stylists after causing such a turmoil on her WEDDING DAY!! Good luck trying to use them for an important event, they might cancel one hour before!

I had a crummy experience all around. I went in for 3 things: to smell a perfume I'd heard about, to get my birthday present, and to get a bag for an online order/gift. They didn't have the perfume -which I honestly totally understand. I was bummed, but expecting them to have every fragrance is unrealistic. So I went to the register to get my birthday gift. I was told I only had a two week grace period and he was unable to give it to me. I've been a beauty insider for 10 years, this has never happened to me. I then explained I had an online order sent to me and it was a gift. I asked if I could have a bag for wrapping/presenting. He asked his manager via mic but didn't explain my reasoning (that I made an online purchase). I was told no because I didn't make a purchase. I walked out seriously confused and frustrated by the lack of customer service. I went to a different location and got my birthday present and bag; no problem.

I really enjoyed the fact that a representative greeted me immediately and helped me find exactly what I needed. Once I found that and wanted to browse they weren't coming up to me every other second which was nice. Thanks for the good experience!

Clean, the staff is nice wonderful selections from top brands. I purchased Sephora Liquid Lipstick and Eyeshadows from the same line. Their liquid Lipstick will last a long time through your day. I am always happy to return and get more quality makeup.
