Your basic big box pet store. Plentiful dog and cat accessories. If you have a cat they do have cheap bulk liter that you refill yourself. You purchase a box of liter and then come back and buy refills for it. That's one of the only reasons I come here. They do have cats and dogs up for adoption through the Michigan Humane society. A few birds and about dozen reptiles, some turtles. There is an okay aquarium section. Nothing like a mom and pop fish store, not as good of a selection of tanks as PetSmart. They do have a decent stock of fish though, even some salt water stuff. Great selection of betas (although it breaks my heart when I see them in tiny cups, but that's all big box pet stores) I want to rescue them all lol, I would go here specifically for a beta fish if that's what I was looking for.

I had an awful experience at the Sterling Heights location in Michigan by Chelsea. She did not listen to my requests, made me drive home to get a rabies record because I forgot it and she needed the document. When I got back, she said it was not valid and called the Vet which she should have done first instead of making me rush home and get back in time for my appt. My dog's haircut ended up being a trim on his paws, nails, and hair around eyes. I asked her to cut the hair around his chin and she said she could not. She charged $49.29 for an 8.6 pound dog and told me I should come back in 3 or 4 weeks to get another haircut. This was my puppy's first experience with a haircut and it was terrible. Petco needs to train their associates and put their prices online. They should not charge $49.29 for a face, feet, fanny haircut. Totally unprofessional and ridiculous pricing for level of service.

We went into Petco to look around and found the love of our lives. A Puppy! We adopted him and he's great. Everyone there were super helpful and caring. Adoption of a pet is important and beautiful. I'm so happy we walked in.

I’ve not been to this store in quite some time but our little, geriatric Chiweenie had some needs. We didn’t have anyone ask to assist us (and to be honest, we didn’t try to locate anyone) in the healthcare section, but we found what we needed. The cashier (Stef) was amazingly kind, patient and professional. For that reason, we’ll be back.

Normally stay away from this pet company because their prices are REALLY high. That being said they do have a good selection of all animal products. Plus, I do love they ha e a humane society in the back and do adoption runs. Went there and made an adoption. People should really che k the adoptable pets. They love the attention

The people that work for Petco are wonderful. The cat adoption people were not. I love animals and they were the meanest ladies I have ever come in contact with. They looked us up and down and decided we were not good enough for them

Ran in for a few things for my birds, which pet stores in general neglect when stocking items for this particular pet group. So with that being said this, particular store had a better selection than most big chain pet stores do. 4 stars for the bird selection being out of stock on most bird items they did carry 🤨 I was able to get a couple ladders that my boys needed and a new toy as well. Overall good store, will check back here again.
