I was hesitant to write this review because the people there were nice, but this absolutely needs to be said. I took my niece to this salon for her sweet 16 hair and makeup. The hair went well. The hairdresser did a good job, but my niece asked for tinsel, and the hairdresser had never done it before. So I didn’t love the tinsel, but the style was gorgeous. My niece did love the tinsel though, which is all that matters. But the makeup. Oh, my God THE MAKEUP. They knew this was her sweet 16, and they let a woman who had, and this is not an over exaggeration, NEVER done makeup in her life do this poor girls makeup. Mind you, there was a competent makeup artist there, but she said she had to do a haircut so we got the other girl. I don’t know if she was training or something, but she didn’t even know how to blend foundation, never mind put on eyeliner. The girl who DID know how to do makeup kept coming over to help, but it was pretty unsalvageable. At this point, the appointment was 45 minutes over time, and we couldn’t go somewhere else to fix it. She had to go home and fix it herself, in tears. To top it all off, knowing that this was an awful experience, they still charged me full price plus lashes. I paid $100 for someone who has less makeup experience than me to do this little girls makeup. I cannot believe they allowed that to happen. There is one girl there who is good at makeup, so if you’re considering getting makeup here, make sure you vet the artist. I truly cannot get over what a disaster it was. Brooke was wonderful!!!! I booked a basic facial and my skin was absolutely glowing after - would highly recommend, and would love a follow-up on the products she selected for me. ***edit: I would also like to add that she took my allergies very seriously and was careful to avoid any adverse reactions!

Karen, the owner, is so wonderful! She's so knowledgeable and cares about the look and health of your hair. They use the most natural products around, but they really work too. She is so caring and remembers everything you say from one visit to the next. The new salon looks wonderful and they are having different classes there multiple nights a week. The staff there is so cohesive, it's like a big, happy family. They've made a great salon!

Mode Salon did all the hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, mother and myself at my Wedding this past August. Every stylist is talented in their own way! I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! My hair is very thin and I don't have much, Karen teased my hair and gave it so much volume it doubled in size! I was so pleased! Every employee there is professional and welcoming. They even had pastries, mimosas and fruit out for us. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID TO HELP MAKE MY DAY AMAZING!

This is an amazing salon. I am so fortunate to have been recommended to Mode Salon. The owner took at least 10 minutes on the phone to reassure me that they could not only “fix” my color, but give me the color I desired. She booked me with Kristen. Kristen gave me the most gorgeous hair color(s). She is an amazing stylist!

I have been going for 2 years now and love the atmosphere, the decor and most of all the wonderful ladies who take their time to make sure your hair is at its best. I chose this salon in particular because they use organic products. If you are concerned about all the toxins in the typical products used, give Mode Salon a call....your hair and body will thank you.

Kristen McDowell was my Stylist today. I went in with Platinum Blonde hair with 1/2 inch root of my natural color. I asked Kristen for a shadow root with some pieces that blended nicely into my platinum blonde hair and to tone my blonde to make it more white. After being there for 3 hours and paying $150 I saw in the salon that my hair looked a little darker then what I wanted but still pretty. I gave her a $50 tip and left. I got into my car and saw that my hair in the sunlight was a moussy brown color with purple tints because she did not wash out the shampoo correctly and my roots were crazy dark and reddish brown. Not at all what I asked for. When I approached Kristen about the issues with my hair she said she was more worried about her own anxiety then my hair problem. She said I was disrespectful because I got what I wanted and then changed my mind. That is not what happened. Later I got a message from the Owner Karen. She said that she stands by Kristen's behavior towards me and she believes in standing up for yourself. So instead of refunding me my money, not the tip, she said she would fix my hair for more money. Very unprofessional and I will never go back there again.

Kristen cut and styled my hair. She is very kind, patient and professional. She listened to what I like to do with my hair and I showed her photos. I don't like to get my hair cut and tend to put it off, but I will definitely go back regularly for trims now. The price was reasonable $35 for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. Thanks for the best hair cut I've had, Kristen!
