(1) Charging parking fees even when car was parked in parking slot dedicated for AVIS return. They maybe already paying the building management for these parking slot, why take it from customers and not telling them before hand that they will be charged for parking if they come and park early before the car can be taken. (2) There should be a provision to credit to customer if he returns the car with more gas just like there is provision to debit in case car is returns with less gas.

My mom rented at Avis to take me back to college. She loved the car and we both felt the staff at this Avis location was very courteous and gave us their full attention. I personally enjoyed the smooth ride in the vehicle and the blue tooth technology!! Thank you Avis!!

The place was beautiful and respectful…… but the car was lighting up like a Christmas tree…… service oil and tier pressure lights stay on and the trunk would not open and I had to leave my belongings in the car because the truck can’t open ….. my stuff is still in the truck…. The staff was the best the customer service was great But the car I had for 3 weeks was a very bad experience imagine your belongings being stuck in the truck for three days

Convenient location, helpful staff. This was easy to book. The car was as advertised. The drop off was smooth. The downside is the tiny office and we had to wait 15mins in the sweltering heat before we could go in.

I did rent a car for a week. It was booked and prepaid ahead of time trough Avis website, and representatives were Jimi and Assima. The car was Kia Soul, very clean and really good for a long trip. I was charged for tolls in around 2 weeks (as expected). Overall it was a great experience.

Rented from here regularly and they used to offer excellent service. Then they hired some new person replacing a previous representative who used to go above and beyond in customer service for me as a weekly renter here (I.e. letting me pick up late once due to an emergency, giving me a bit longer than the grace period on returning, frequently upgrading me as a preferred member, letting a few gallons of gas slide - all once or twice because she knew I would rent from here every week). The new rep in one day ruined my loyalty to this place after deciding to charge me for being past the grace period time (which happened partially because I was waiting in line and she was out to lunch). Edit: Decided to give them another chance and it turned out they were extremely helpful in resolving a potential damage issue upon a return. Good news, the representative is also back (she was just on vacation). Updating my rating for continued good customer service.

Avis/Budget car rental in Gotham Garage in downtown near Exchange Place provided a first class check-in experience. Highly recommend! The ability to use a debit card after an approved credit check was a big relief too.

My car broke down the day before I had to leave out for the holiday. I booked over the phone with Avis customer service, Kevin, who verified I could use a debit card for payment, I would be able to get my rental with same day, and could travel one way. I booked the car, prepaid online, and checked in only to be told upon arrival that my reservation needed to be changed because I needed a credit card on file. The Manager, Ms. Tina , was not very welcoming and carried a bit of sarcasm when I was confused on the issue with my reservation. I attempted to gain knowledge on the best resolution to get down the highway to my family and was told that she could do nothing to help so call customer service. Her unwillingness to assist in the situation was very distasteful and I will NOT be booking here in the future.

Staffs here are super nice and helpful! I lost my wallet in the car and realized it one day later after I returned the rental car. The agent asked other location to transfer the car back to this site and helped me find the lost wallet. Much appreciated!👍👍

I have had 2 smooth experiences renting and returning cars from this Avis location so far. However, it is truly regrettable that this location does not offer after hours drop off. Both times I rented, I had to find overnight street parking on Sunday and return the car Monday morning. Fortunately, this is fine now while I’m not commuting, but in the future when I need to commute, this will be a real pain. I hope management considers adding an after hours key dropbox in the future because it would make renting from here so much more convenient.
