Got a ring from here in 2016; Good thing cleaning is free, and whatever you spent, you get the same amount if you wanted to upgrade.

We had the pleasure of having Megan assist us and she made the experience at Kay very fun and welcoming. While the other employees weren't really interested in helping and sitting down. Megan was standing up at the glass greeting everyone with warm EYE CONTACT. (MASKS SUCK). She is the reason we walked into the store and made a purchase. While following COVID guidelines she walked us through each case with patience and ease until we found what we were looking for. Overall if I can have Megan as my saleswoman again I would 100% be back to spend more money!

The jewelry consultant that serviced my ring, needs additional training in customer service. There's no need to have an attitude first thing in the morning as though I'm bothering her for just entering the store. If you hate your job ma'am, get a career. I didn't get her name, but it was a middle-aged black woman with short natural hair.

Paid more than market price to get my ring resized. Requested that they don’t stretch my ring because I was warned by the jeweler that it might cause the diamonds to pop out. It took them a whole month and they stretched my ring. 7 months later my diamonds popped out and I’m still having issues with my ring because they decided to stretch it (the stretched part split down the middle). Horrible repair job. Kay will never get a penny from me. This is not just a store issue, as a franchise you ought to ensure that your customers get what they pay for.

Absolutely worst customer service. I had been eyeing something for a very long time and was finally ready to purchase. I went into the store there was three ladies working there no one greeted me. There was no one else in the store I was the only one. I sat in the store for 15 minutes no one said a word to me. And these three ladies were just sitting there like I was invisible. I got up and left but I back tracked to see if I left something and they were laughing. I guess because of the African dress I was wearing I didn’t have money to buy from them . I will take my money elsewhere.

Love my ring but very dissatisfied with their service. I recently brought my engagement ring in for its first inspection and I asked that it be resized. Upon inspection the woman noticed a stone on the side was missing and said they’d replace it. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I pick up the ring which fit perfectly, however, the following day while looking at the ring something was off and it was hard to see, but I realized that they hadn’t replaced the stone and in fact an extra stone was missing. So my fiancé went back to the store and told them the issue. They apologized and said they’d put a “rush” on it. Well it’s now the end of the month and still no ring. We were never given an ETA as promised and when we attempted to get one they basically said they don’t know. We called Kay’s customer service who made a note of the mishap and told us the ring should’ve been inspected when we went to retrieve it and also gave us an ETA which was another 2 weeks from the day we brought the ring back which meant an entire month without my ring. That’s completely unacceptable! Update: Got my ring back after they “replaced” the stone. My fiancé went to pick it up, and the woman supposedly checked it under the magnification machine and gave it the okay. When he comes home, I examine the ring myself and see that the 2nd stone which wasn’t missing when I originally brought the ring in is still missing! So then they decide that the ring is “defective” and needs to be replaced entirely, when it’s more likely that the staff at their repair shop is incompetent and their staff at the store lack training and attention to detail. On the day that my replacement ring was supposed to be picked up we called the store who then told us it wasn’t going to be there for another few days which is NOT what the MANAGER originally PROMISED!! I’m so frustrated with this place, words can’t describe it!! I WISH I CAN JUST GET A REFUND!! They have taken away from what was supposed to be such a happy time and ruined it with this back and forth. STAY AWAY AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!

Made a purchase in the store a little over a year ago, my rings are beautiful my sales rep was great his name was John. He was the store manager at the time of purchase. he was kind, patient, understanding & didn't lead me into something I did not want. He helped me out so that I got an amazing price on the item too and for that I will be forever great-full. I'm in love with my ring they are so beautiful. Thanks John, I am going to miss you, John has since moved on to being a district manager. Good luck! Now I need to find a new ales rep. I must admit the post that I'm seeing are discouraging. Hopefully I'll find someone I can connect with.

My now fiance and I went into this store to look at possible engagement rings. There was one woman there who was trying to help us and she was the only person working in the store. I ended up falling in love with a ring that I saw and my boyfriend decided to purchase it. The woman processed the transaction and then sized me and said oh my god when she was sizing my finger because according to her I was a half size bigger than what I thought I was (which was very rude by the way). My fiance would have to wait for the ring to be resized which would take a few weeks as per their system and policy etc. Overall, I felt that the process from picking out rings to finishing was a little rushed given that she was alone. FYI my fiance was going to propose in a surprise so I had no idea when or how it would happen. A few weeks later he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes but as soon as I put on the ring I could tell it was WAY TOO BIG. I shook my hand to see if the ring would hold up and it flew off my finger. So not even one hour after being proposed to my fiance and I were heading back to this location. I was already upset. I speak to a representative there and she agreed that the ring was too big. When I asked whether the resizing could be expedited given that this was their representatives fault i was told with an attitude that even though it was her fault, it wouldnt be fair to other customers waiting for their rings. Now, If my fiance went in there alone and picked the wrong size I think that is something completely different but I was incorrectly sized by their sales rep because she was in a rush. I was so disgusted because i felt like okay we just spent $3500 on this ring but Im sure if my ring was over $10k I would have been treated a little better. Nonetheless a sale is a sale and nobody should have that said to them after having to return an engagement ring not even an hour after being proposed to. I told my fiance to do whatever he wanted and I walked away. So we dropped the ring off and now were in the process of waiting another two weeks for the ring to come back. I truly feel like I didnt get to enjoy my engagement because of them. Their customer service is subpar to say the least. If i ever need my ring to be fixed, ill find another location with better reviews to go to. My advice to anyone considering to go here is to go on a weekday when its generally empty and if you see theres only one person there or they dont acknowledge you as soon as you walk in then dont even bother wasting your time. Everything people said about this location is true. The jewelry is beautiful but the customer service is horrible. In hindsight ring shopping on fordham road would have probably been better.

Mothers day is this weekend. I understand that for something to be ready it must be ordered in advance. But when I go in there a week before, understand that even if it's a week later it's fine and say my budget is so and so what can we do. 1- do not tell me you will speak to your specialist and give me a call back on Monday and yet its Thursday and I do not receive a call. 2- I go in there to talk personally and you do not even look at me just a quick hi and you turn away. 3- when your other employee helps and then I tell them that my budget is a certain number and they tell me "Okay there's this but with all adjustments and such it'll be $200 more than my budget." Customer service on the first day was GREAT but after such it seemed as if my time wasn't as important as everyone else in there. Personally I have a Credit Card with them that has great credit but at this point ill drive further and get better service.

If I could give them zero stars I would!!! I went into this location yesterday to start my search with my fiancée to find the perfect wedding bands for our upcoming wedding. I was first turned off when the lady who was suppose to be "helping" us wasn't too thrilled about my fiancée being a woman. She asked me if I was with a another man that was there and when I told her no I'm with her (my fiancée) her entire demeanor changed and she looked away from us and said "oh, okay I guess" she did proceed to show us some wedding bands that we did like. We each found a set that we liked in which she asked if we had a Kay card (their credit card) I told her "no." She then asked would we like to apply for one, and when my fiancée said We were not interested in taking out a credit card she closed the jewelery book put the rings back and just stood there literally in the mist of 10 seconds. I was so outraged that I just turned around and left. Not once did she ask if we were interested paying any other way or even attempt to try to make the sale. I would NEVER EVER step foot in a Kay jewelers again. Her customer service completely turned me off with the business. I rather go to the diamond district or every JCpenney!
