Please do not order from Hammacher Schlemmer. I never give a bad review without a recommendation for improvement. Here’s what happened. Upon receipt of the puzzle table, it was broken during delivery. I spoke with a representative at Hammacher Schlemmer for 15 minutes. I took pictures and emailed Hammacher Schlemmer while on that same conversation and asked for an exhange. I never received the next steps via email and no record of that conversation was ever inputted when I called back. UPS never called to pick up the puzzle table. If you follow-up via email or phone Hammacher Schlemmer just simply starts the process over with no resolution. There are plenty of other companies out there with their products and money doesnt grow on trees so my recommendation is take your precious money elsewhere!

Ask the rep if he was going as me name so my niece would know who was from? I was told no the order was placed ! I could call back in 50 mins to add that, Not so great customer service was it!

I was intrigued by many of the items that were in Hammacher Schlemmer's catalog. It was the first time I had seen the catogue and I was in the market for some gifts for my kids, birthday and anniversary. The kids are grown and have their own homes, and sometimes I have a hard time finding something I think they'll like. Looking at the catalog, I actually found something for each of my children. I bought stained glass window art for one and a jigsaw puzzle of the front page of The New York Times taken from the day my son was born. It's kind of neat because he works at The New York Times and he enjoys puzzles. All that was nice, but what was even better was their customer service when I needed to return the item I bought for myself. It was a special pillow that was the wromg size and did not work out in the way I thought it would. I corresponded with young lady in customer service, and the return was easy and without drama. Even though I had used the pillow they took it back because it didn't fit my neck. So it was wonderful to have a catalog with so many interesting items in it, and also have great customer service when I needed to make a return. I am sure I will be buying more things from Hammaker Schlemmer in the future!

I just received my catalogue for Christmas. I will not order because they have been so unreliable in the past. Items are cancelled with no reason, after my order has processed (several times) and deliveries take a very long time, or so not arrive. I have lost all confidence bit by bit and now will throw my Christmas catalogue out.

My incredible shopping experience. Our wedding anniversary is around the corner. Since it’s near to impossible to shop for either of us, I’ decided to go practical and buy my hubby portable fridge for his town office. Found it, bought it and got confirmation that it has been shipped. Got notified of its delivery yesterday. Delivery truck came and left two boxes on my porch. Both of them were light and I was getting concerned. Upon opening them I’ve discovered a 15 foot tall inflatable Rudolph the reindeer Christmas decoration for the front lawn. If that wasn’t enough, the second box had a Charlie Brown Halloween Pumpkin Patch tree. I thought I’d lost my mind, and checked my order. It still stated that I’ve ordered the fridge. I’ve called the store and they’ve suggested that I ship everything back, I’ve explained the situation and asked for two mailing labels (I’m not paying for return shipping). I got one in the mail, and asked for a second one, “just make a photocopy”. I’m still in shock. Several attempts to get the item I wanted failed miserably. Ps. Today they helpfully emailed me a targeted advertisement suggesting I buy the female reindeer mate, Clarissa , which is only 12 feet tall.… how considerate of them!

My personal shopping experience with this company was subpar. I ordered a patio table that arrived damaged and unusable. Told a by two staff this was the first they heard of an issue with the product, even though I researched online after realizing the issue and there are plenty of complaints about it on other websites (the product is made by a third party). Contacted customer service twice and was told I would have to either lug the 40 lb. + table to UPS to return it, or be at home for 1-3 wks for UPS to pickup. I will think twice before ordering again from this company.

Such a great old store. Has been there for many years and sell many unique and wonderful products. The products tend to be too much on the high tech side,but still there are many traditional products still offered all radios offered are digital tuning,should offer at least one with old fashioned knob tuning,since many brands still make them. But a very enjoyable store and you may find something you really like

BUYER BEWARE. I ordered a puzzle caddy for my wife on 12-7-21 for Christmas. I kept getting e mails saying it was out of stock. I finally contacted them and ask for a refund and was told the refund would arrive in 14 to 21 days but nothing I again contacted them on the 25th day and was told to give it another 5 days and nothing again. They will gladly take your money but when it comes time to make a refund Good luck.

I believed the company when they listed their Christmas tree as the best Douglas fir in the world. It was not. It had gaps, the lighting was clustered in sections and was very sparse in others, and the tree was super expensive. After spending 2 hours to put up and fluff the branches, I had to spend another 1.5 hours to tear down, box up and return. Also spent 15 minutes on hold and another 15 minutes to try to resolve the issue. Wont be purchasing from them again. Just an update on the company. I have been waiting for over a month now since I returned this tree. I finally received a refund for $66 less than I paid. When I inquired why it was “shipping and handling. Also states they would open an inquiry but not sure when Or if I would get a full refund. Unbelievable. Wish I could give negative stars.
