Phenomenal customer service! From getting kitchen knives sharpened (drop off and pick up later in the week), to Christmas decorations, to drawer pulls and toys, this store has everything! My kiddo accidentally broke an ornament and the staff member was so kind and compassionate. We will definitely shop here for our holidays and home goods! My knives were 20 years old and they’re like new after being sharpened!

Remember the days when you could stop In a hardware store and get solid advice and all the items you need to complete your projects at home? Well that's what happened to me yesterday at Blackhawk Hardware. The people here are the best! They're always looking to help. Plus they have an amazing selection of merchandise that you won't fight anywhere else. I highly recommend this shop.

I've been here years ago and I remembered a smaller place. I was surprised to see they expanded and have two floors and many different items. They have the essentials and the staff manned around the store to help. The few staff members were helpful and knew where the item I was looking for was located. They didn't need to look it up on a handheld device like Home Depot does.

Love this place! But I confess, I try to stick to my list so I don't buy gifts for all my peeps! Too much to window shop here. Its an experience going to this hardware store! Looking for a special gift for someone? This is the place to find it! Grills, outdoor, indoor, home, business tools, etc.... Good customer service with happy staff! Better than walking through the shopping Malls. Just saying :-)

A-MA-ZING!.... the customer service was great! Everyone was so helpful. The store is huge and well stocked! Jane was a sweetheart. She walked with me and helped me find what I needed. I mentioned to her that I was new to Charlotte and she went out her way to write some information down to help me get more acquainted with the city. An overall GREAT experience. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best hardware stores in Charlotte. Lot's of fun stuff for your home and beyond. The customer service is knowledgeable and friendly, especially Adele, she helped me with a couple of projects. Love the greeter dogs too. Skip the big box stores with minimal customer service and come here. I also like that they hire older workers and value them.

I never thought I’d be reviewing a hardware store yet here we are. I was DRAGGED here by my parents after my stepdad discovered this place the day before. He said “oh, it’s like if Amazon had a store and they have great coffee.” and they promised Amelie’s beforehand if I went. I’m so glad I did! This place is more than just a hardware store. I was expecting a snoozefest like Home Depot but there’s more! There’s a huge garden center with lovely plants and fountains, the bottom floor is all the boring stuff to me like tools and tool accessories, and the top level had fun stuff like all kinds of candles, kitchen gadgets, home stuff, pet things, aaaaand the small coffee stand that makes AMAZING coffee! Did you know this place had a coffee shop? I didn’t and it’s GOOD. Like, REALLY GOOD coffee. Because they do small batch pour overs, it takes longer to make than your standard coffee shop but it’s so worth it. Even their decaf was awesome. There’s a one pager that explains what they do to their beans. The young guy behind the counter was very friendly and did a great job with the coffee. In fact, every employee we encountered here was SO nice and helpful. Every employee greets you and asks if you need anything and they’re more than happy to help. I will definitely willingly go back here to look at all the non-tool things anytime and I highly encourage everyone to support this wonderful family-owned business before you head to Lowes or Home Depot!

I was expecting an old fashion Ace Hardware store. No sir and ma’am! What a surprise! Two stories worth of decor and hardware supplies along with a garden center! I spent my entire Friday night there! Max was very helpful with my garden purchases and he gave me more than enough information to get me started on my new planting hobby!

Great hardware store. Many Selections, So much to choose from and see what a great variety they have. Everything from goat soap to the green egg!!! Enjoyed our 1st visit there.

The garden area is a magical place! My husband likes the hardware store as well. He is a grill man! I just fall a little more in love each time I walk into the garden area. You absolutely have to check out this place. Set aside an hour or two and shop to your hearts content. I’m thinking Christmas gifts!
