Not taking accountability for massive kerosene leak into bodies of water. Too cowardly to comment on camera....and people are afraid to stand up and speak out freely for fear of this little family owned business? I'm not from Clayton. I'm not even from North Carolina originally....so I don't give an ounce of care about who these people are. But I DO care for the damage and death they cause to wildlife because of them and the fact they try to rule a town with fear? Whatever. Won't support any Lee business anymore. BTW. Clean up your filthy and I mean absolutely filthy run down laundromat. I made the mistake of walking into that business a few years ago and I immediately left. I know cleaning up stuff isn't your high point but do try. What a shameful family.

Towed my vehicle from a body shop to my home. They blew an oil line on the tow truck in transport covering my vehicle and permanently staining my wheels. Not only did the driver not clean the oil off my vehicle but they didn’t even have the decency to tell me about it. When I got home I had to call the body shop to figure out why my car was in worse condition than they received it in. TR Lee made no attempt to correct the situation or reimburse me for the damage to my vehicle.

Do not take your car to be fixed at this place!!! The guy had my car for over 2 weeks to get brakes done, we would have to call over and over to get him to answer!!! He totally destroyed my car I had to go with a tow truck to pick it up because after 20 days it was still not done. Then I had to take it somewhere else and they told me he totally took the car a part it won’t even start the guy obviously has no clue what he’s doing Service: Auto brake repair

I have used TR Lee for motorcycle inspections for a long time. I can get in and get out without a hassle. I've recently used them for a car inspection and propane refill. My experiences with both were excellent. I was unaware they could refill Blue Rhino tanks. For years I have spent extra money for less propane. The best way to get propane is to park in the laundry mat parking lot, walk across the road to the gas station and pay for the propane. The filling station is right next to the laundry mat so you don't have to hassle with where to park. I have been very pleased with all of my experiences with TR Lee and I'd recommend them for inspections and propane needs.

Stopped in to see if they had time to do an oil change. They did, and I was out of there in about 20 minutes. Whether it's my annual vehicle inspection, check tire pressure, a new battery, or an oil change, they're accommodating, fair, and quick. I love supporting our local businesses! Services: Oil change, Tires

I have purchased propane gas from T.R. Lee since 1988 with outstanding service. They have offered the best prices through the many years and their friendliness and customer service is outstanding. They did not hesitate to come out on a Sunday to deliver gas when I was faced with a difficult situation. They have and will always serve my gas needs.

This is the single worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of needing something from. To start with, the lady who answers the phone (and clearly does little else) is about as useful as a toilet brush in a public pool. After calling multiple times in one day to make sure they would actually be coming by to fill up our propane tank (since it’s snowing and freezing outside) she failed to mention that the truck had come by twice and didn’t have access. Not sure what would prevent someone who has already been paid from calling up a customer to make them aware of the situation, but I can only assume she’s terrible at her job. Secondly, not sure why the driver wouldn’t stop to let the home owner know. Seems like a company with little competition. And with that being said, I’ll be taking investors for the new Clayton Propane company who will focus on customer service, honesty, and good work ethics.

I got an oil change exactly one week ago and since then have noticed my car leaking oil, especially when parked. There is a huge oil stain on my concrete driveway now, in addition to my parking spot at work. I took my car into a local mechanic to have the leak checked out and he said it was due to T R Lee’s negligence in replacing the oil filter. It wasn’t put back in properly, causing the car to lose 3 quarts of oil (my car holds just over 5) in only seven days. The mechanic said if I had let the leak go any longer, it would have completely run out of oil and ruined the whole engine. In addition to their negligence, the workers at T R Lee are also very slow. When I dropped the car off to have the oil changed, there was one car ahead of me waiting on a part. I was told it would be about 35 minutes before my car would be finished and ready to go. I returned an hour later and my oil change still hadn’t been started. Another hour went by before they were finally done. Two hours for a simple oil change that they screwed up! The delay on my oil change was caused by their need to wait on a part for the previous car. They weren’t actively working on said car, just “waiting for a phone call” about the part they needed. In the time that they spent waiting, they could have lowered the other car, moved mine on, changed the oil, and then put the other car back on. Or they could have used a different lift. The inside of their shop is also dirty and needs an update. I will never go back to this place ever again.

I have had only the best and always courteous service from T R Lee. I don't expect them to fill me right before cold snap. They are a small local company, with only so many trucks and drivers. They will do the best they can. Once when the cost of propane had gone crazy, we got a fill up at a price you could not get anywhere else, but they only charged based on what they paid, not what the market would bear. They are far better than the various large chains we dealt with, Ferrelgas and NC something or other some 20 years ago.

I'm editing this review because I was informed today that this company reads their reviews here on Google+ So, assuming the intent for reading is to improve, I felt the need to summarize my experiences into a more constructive message. Like others I've had an overall negative experience. This is a small company that's been around since the 30s. After almost every visit I've left feeling like they didn't really value me as a customer. There's no cordial greeting or "can I help you" when I walk in. I stand around not knowing who to go to for help and when I finally get someones attention there's a feeling like I've interrupted something more important. There are two specific examples that have really left a bad taste. The first one happened just after I bought my house. I was told that by purchasing both Oil and LP gas I wouldn't have to pay their $50 per year LP TANK rental fee. I purchased around $800 worth of oil that year but still received a bill in the mail for $50 tank rental fee. When i called a young woman answered the phone and I explained the situation. She got very rude, insinuated that I was lying, and hung up on me. So I drove to the store to speak with someone in person. They finally agreed to honor the agreement. The next year I also received a rental fee bill after buying around $1000 of oil. The second incident happened after I accidentally ran out of oil. I called them to get my tank refilled. But a gentleman arrived and begin filling up my propane tank instead of the oil tank. I stopped him and explained that I was supposed to get oil. He was less than polite to me and said he'd have to come back the next day. This would mean I had no heat that night. I was finally able to persuade them to come back that same day. It made me feel that the company didn't really value me that much. I hope that explains the reason for only 1 star. There are many other negative reviews just none have a name signed. Hopefully they'll all be read and it will drive some improvement in customer service. My original review said these same things but after re-reading it sounded a tad too hateful, (I must've been in a bad mood that day) and I do apologize for the tone of my original post. I know it detracted from the actual message.
