The minivan that we received today was absolutely nasty. All of the suburban locations in the Charlotte area close early and we had no options to switch out this car. I don’t know if it says more about the company that they can charge premium prices to rent out such filthy cars or that the people who rent cars would treat them this way. In either case, it’s a bad start to a holiday weekend.

Booked a rental. Confirmed rental. Showed up and they wanted to put me in a mini van. They had other SUVs and cars available but said I would have to pay $50 additional per day for anything besides a mini van. VERY DISPLEASED!!!!

Reserved a "premium" vehicle ahead of time. The vehicle they gave me to rent was certainly not premium, the seat adjustment was broken and it needed a front end alignment. I took it back and the other TWO available vehicles on the lot were nothing to write home about. I ended up with a little roller skate of a car with a chipped up windshield, but I guess it gets me from point A to point B. The only reason for 3 stars instead of 1 is that at least the rep was polite and friendly. I still wouldn't recommend this place.

I specifically told the agent that I cannot accept a vehicle that smells like smoke. Apparently they masked the smell with deodorizer and when I got down the road and turned on the A/C nothing but cigarette smoke smell poured out!! I was the last rental of the day and they were closed when I returned to change the car. I called the 800 number and was told to go to the airport (40 miles away!!) to change the car. Unfortunately, time didn't allow for that so we were stuck the entire weekend with an unacceptable car. Their resolution? A $14.00 discount. Very dissatisfied!!!

We dropped off our wrecked car at Caliber Collision for repair. A rental car was promptly delivered & the lady who handled the transaction was courteous & friendly. My issue is with the car. The front fender of the car was wrecked with visible white paint but the worst part was the stale odor of the car. Although the car was clean, it just smelled nasty. I’m grateful I only had to drive the rental car for one day. I have a long history of using Enterprise rental cars so I’m hoping this is because of the crazy times we’re living in now & like everywhere else, limited staff, because I’ve never had an issue with Enterprise before.

My company rented from my local Enterprise location in Denver NC at noon for my travels. I showed up to the location and it was closed for remodeling. No one bothered to call to tell me this. When I reached out to the number on the sign, for the Cornelius NC location 40 minutes away, they made it sound like it was my fault their system did not transfer my contact info to them when they shut the location down. Interestingly enough, when I finally picked up the car, they did have it all. In fact they had my Enterprise member info right on all the paperwork. Trying to get to the new site in the time frame they gave me was very difficult. I was in the middle of a training seminar until 5 PM and was leaving for my trip that night. I asked if they could drop the car off to me. They said they were not making deliveries. I assumed this was due to Covid. I asked about a pick up and they also said they were not doing this right now. When I arrived at the site, it seemed like there was a shuttle driver on duty picking people up and dropping them for their vehicles. I asked the manager if someone could stay behind 30 minutes so I may get there without missing my training. He was not willing to have anyone, including himself stay past their closing time of 5 PM. Even though they had completely dropped the ball on me and my reservation. Thanks Enterprise... I will go out of my way to never try to use your company again...

Excellent people and customer service. I rent here frequently and get treated great every time. Nice vehicles and well maintained. Highly recommend. Update to original 5 star review as of February 2020: This place has gone downhill in terms of employees and cars. There has been a lot of turn over and the only vehicles that are available anymore are trash. Being a routine business traveler you would think they would treat you better, but no. They continue to throw me in a Nissan Sentra which is like driving a go cart. To top it off most of the cars have less than a full tank of gas and they smell like smoke. Hope a new manager moves in soon. Until then, I am recommending the Hertz next door.

I always rent from Enterprise with no issues, but this time was different. I booked my reservation online as I always do, but found out my normal location (University City Blvd, Charlotte, NC) didn’t have any premium vehicles available. I select the next closest location (Huntersville), book my reservation, only to get a call about 20 mins prior to my arrival telling that they didn’t have any cars available at all. I call the reservations line, they tell me next closest location is Lake Norman. I ask if he’s sure they have vehicles available because I needed to drop my car off to the shop. He assures me that they have cars and he is making my reservation for 12:30 (it’s already 12:15pm) and to go ahead and head that way. I get there and I’m told once again that they don’t have any cars available. I talk to the manager at that location he tells me he’ll call once he get some cars in, but it may not be what I booked. Needless to say I spent my day playing a cat and mouse game. I finally was able to pick up a full size car, which I was told it was going to be higher than the premium car (I’ve never heard of that) but they’d honor the amount for my premium car reservation. This was a one off event, but it definitely made me second guess if I’ll continue to rent with Enterprise or not. Thanks

I am torn how many stars to give. I had to return the rental car the very next day. There was a Smokey smell in the car that had been covered up with some kind of air freshener. It set off my asthma it was so strong. There was no way I could drive the car any longer so I returned it. Additionally, there was writing on the window. I am assuming it was some inventory information. It said, “GA 30k”. I wound up renting a car from the Enterprise at the airport. That had it’s own set issues.

Excellent customer service! Although I could not rent the car due to a paperwork related issue at my end, the staff was not only professional but also very accommodating. They picked me up from my hotel and once it was certain that I won't be able to leave with a car, they offered to drop me at my work location at my convenience. Great team with a sharp focus on customer service!!!
