Customer service girl at front is very rude. Every time we asked a question about the pricing we were dismissed she didn’t explain pricing correctly and charged us 397.00 which we thought we were going to get charged just the 187.00. After paying for the rental she sat the keys on the counter and told us to go outside and check damages she didn’t even walk us out or guide us correctly.wish I could give zero stars.

If I could give a negative star I would! I booked an Ultimate test drive from this location and it’s supposed to be for two days at a reduced rate as they explained to me. If I like the car I can buy it and they waive the rental fees if not I will pay the rental fees at a reduced rate. The clerk lady quoted me $41 per day when I picked up the car and I was fine with it. I decided against buying the car and brought it back the next day ( less than 24 hours). There was another clerk lady and she was the rudest human being you could ever meet. She charged me $122.70 for the day and did not want to discuss why this has happened. After insisting she called her colleague the one I dealt with the first day and she acknowledged the $41.00 she quoted me but said you have to call Avis 800 number to refund you. Long story short, I called every single 800 number including the agent who wanted to sell me the car (Avis car sales /Tresl) and they did not refund me any money and it was like everyone was putting it on the other. What upset me most the way the clerk lady talked to me when I dropped the car off, she was so rude and was so close to kicking me out of the store if she could. She clearly discriminated me against my accent. Please NO NOT do business with this location if you want to do yourself a favor, and also avoid buying their cars through what what is called TRESL, they do not care about you if you decide not to buy their cars and they don’t deliver their promise. It was a terrible experience for me as I had to pay the highest rate ever for a rental car when it is supposed to be at a “reduced” rate.

We booked a car a few days out from a trip, and the company cancelled the car 4-hours out from pickup, leaving us no time to book something else. There are others who have also experienced this, receiving a response stating “no vehicles available to fulfill your reservation.” Also, this company does not understand the concept of a reservation.

My boyfriend rented from here Easter weekend. They told him to return it on Sunday (Easter) and they were closed. Went to return it today (Monday) and they made him go get his own milage and fule level and exterior inspection his self also when he picked it up. They also charged him for the extra day and a late fee because they said he could have dropped it off when it clearly says on the door no after hours returns. She also said they were open until 11am on Sunday when the door says 12:30pm. They're return policy was not clearly explained. We will not be spending our money here again. The customer service was terrible they had too many things going on at once. There's plenty of other places to rent cars in Charlotte! DO NOT GO HERE! Edit: He was told to send them an email, they never responded. It's just to look good on here like they're going to resolve you're problem. Don't waste your time sending the email.

Not the cleanest place, or safest location but they’ve always been able to fill my reservation. I never left a review because you kind of expect this from a rental company in 2020...but I got hosed in multiple locations here in Raleigh where they were like “reservation?” Ha! Jokes on you we don’t fulfill reservations....🤷🏽♂️

I'm leaving reviews everywhere I possibly can in hopes people take it to heart and avoid this company at all costs. I live in Tucson, AZ. My family is in South Carolina. May 9th 2019 my brother commits suicide, I'm frantically trying to find a way to fly home and be there for the funeral and hug my mother. I book a flight for May 11th, we can't afford this flight regularly so I'm on stand by. After 13 hours on stand by starting at 5am in the morning, once my mother in law realizes how late I'd be getting into Charlotte she books me a rental with Avis. She's a preferred or pre authorized customer she literally uses Avis 5+ times a year. I get my confirmation email I'm getting a Ford fiesta pick up when I get to Charlotte. I touch down I'm exhausted and still have to drive 2 hours and 40 minutes to MANNING, SC to reach my family. I go to the lot (pre authorized) and I don't see any Ford fiestas. I go to the front counter and I'm told they're gone and it's first come first serve because my reservation was made so late? MY FLIGHT INFORMATION AND TIME GETTING IN WAS SYNCED TO MY ACCOUNT THAT FIESTA SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESERVED FOR MEA WHEN THEY SAW MY PICK UP TIME. Why be able to confirm something through email if you never had it in the lot? So I'm told I'm getting a FORD FLEX. HUGE difference in gas! They hand me papers to sign I declined ALL INSURANCE COVERAGE and DID pay for pre pay fuel because I had no idea (flying stand by) how early or late I'd be driving back and I knew I didn't want to have to stop for gas if I could help it. For the pre pay fuel I'm quoted $50 cool. For the rental my mother in law was charged $153 cool (for two days) Not happy having to leave the morning after the funeral having had no time spent yet with my mother (people were constantly in and out of the house my mother was always busy with arrangements etc) I call my husband and ask if we can afford me to stay one more day so I can finally grieve and spend time with my mother. He says yes, he calls and they say they will extend the rental one day for full cost not the special rate, we were not thrilled tried to see if there was anything we could do but in the end we got charged the same amount for one additional day as we had paid for 2 days. Whatever. So I get to the airport at 3am no one is at the counter tank is empty as I was instructed I parked the car I grab my flight. I get home and my husband and I are charged $300+ on the card I gave for the deposit/pre pay mind you the rental was paid for by a completely different card my mother in law's! So we call customer service (terrible) and are told that charge is for the insurance I requested for all 3 days! I say no I never signed for insurance coverage for a FACT and I want to see that contract. They don't have the contract! That's fine I have my full summary in emails 1 for the first 2 day rental and the 2nd for the updated additional day rental. Declined 4 times for the liability and insurance on both emails. Why are we collectively paying $480 !? And no one can help us no manager can fix it no one?! If we couldn't afford the damn flight what makes anyone think we can afford the same price of a flight in a 3 day rental! Just because you can? I went home under tragic circumstances and now had to deal with and stress out MORE about the fact that you put us under financially! For a company that says they support military, you don't. You don't give a damn about people period and as an active Air Force family moving every 2 to 3 years flying 6 times a year using rentals we will NEVER use Avis again and tell absolutely everyone we know that if they want to keep their money, go to a competitor or use Uber/Lyft. It will always cost you less in the end than what Avis decides they want to charge you on a whim.

Pleasant interaction with the employees, the car was great, clean, and in excellent exterior condition. Would have liked a full tank, but they put that on my record as a credit. Would rent from them again.
