I guess it’s a nice store, but you’d never know it. Had a minor emergency with my dog and drove there to pick up supplies, only to find it was closed at 5:00 pm due to “staff illness.” I know it’s hard to find workers these days, but you can’t find enough staffing to keep your store open? That’s a pretty bad state of affairs. Drove all the way to Nags Head to Petco, which had what I needed. I always prefer to patronize small businesses, but you leave me no choice if you aren’t open.

The staff helped me find just what I was looking for which was a safe, long lasting chew for my strong chewer. My dog LOVED the Himalayan yak cheese chew and it truly lasted as long as a real bone typically does. The perk is when it gets too small, follow the directions to make another treat for your dog. Also invited us to their Yappy Hour with our pups. Thanks Outer Barks!

Cute beach front shop! Good location. I wish there was more of a selection of upcountry dog collars, leashes, bandanas, and dog toys. The fresh baked dog treats smelled very good!

This is our 3 year old golden doodle's favorite part of vacation and she makes it fun for all of us!! Be sure to stock up on the in-store made dog treats in various flavors. Smaller store with a great selection of both dog and human items.

This fun shop screams "We love your dog - maybe more than you do!" As a local Outer Banks resident, I frequent the Outer Barks as often as possible and it's clear they love to see all the dogs that come in the door. Robin & Kevin are true dog and cat lovers with incredible knowledge and experience, which shows in their inventory selection. For such a small space, it's well stocked with a large variety of great products. I have relied heavily on them to coach me along with what toys, treats and toiletries our puppy needs. They are generous supporters of organizations that benefit their furry friends and have hosted "Yappy Hour" for decades just for that purpose. This event AND this store are must "go-tos" for all pet people!

When we go on vacation and our little Samantha cannot go,we always bring her something from Outer Barks..she looks so sweet in her beachy collar, and the gourmet treats are made on site.highly recommend visit to this store for your dogs presents.

So glad we made the trip from camp hatteras to this sweet store! Owners were so welcoming, one was baking and the other asking all about our dogs-loved that. Great advice for our handicapped dog and so much more. Store packed with so many great goodies. Left with fresh baked goods, cute earrings and more. Totally worth the trip! As per photos, the baked goods were a total hit!

Such cute stores along a boardwalk with a beautiful view of the water in Duck, NC. I wish I could remember the name of the store, but one of them has THE cutest shirts, cups and stickers with "Duck, NC" on them and a big picture of a duck. A must have for a visit to a place with such a memorable name. Visit the dog store and buy fresh baked treats for the pupper and any breed specific item you can think of. Visit the General Store and buy a hot air balloon hanging from the ceiling. I love mine!

My dogs love going here- definitely worth a stop for anyone with pets. They bake their own treats daily. My little one got a few nice shirts including the one he’s wearing below. Owners are so nice.
