We needed to rent a lift chair temporarily. I called the store on Springs Road and was told they didn't have one available. End of story. I called the store in Newton and talked with Sharon. They also didn't have a lift chair in the store, but while we were talking, Sharon was on the computer locating a chair in another location. She called me back as promised and had a chair being sent to her store. We set up delivery.in 2 days. I went into the store the next day to do paperwork. It turns out they had a new massage chair which was also a lift chair. Robby the delivery man, followed me home and set up the chair. Everyone there was very courteous, personable and interested in having a happy customer.

If I was ever going to be late or wasn't going to be able to make a payment these fine people worked with me in every possible way. I wanted a brand new washer and dryer, they went out of their way to pick a set up from Mooreseville and delivered them to my house. I have been doing business with this store for a very long time and I have never had an issue with any of them. Yes, they do have some merchandise with scratches and dents. But that's them giving people chances and them not taking care of them or damaging the product before it gets returned. I'll keep doing my business with them because they always do right by me and get me whatever I want. Thank you Newton Rent A Center! 😊

I see the negative comments and I wonder if those ppl actually contacted this store to let them know and give them a chance to fix it. I’ve been dealing with this location for over 2 years. If they make a mistake, they’re good about fixing it. I like them so much that when I moved to Hickory, about 2 minutes from the Hickory location, I still deal with Newton. I know using Rent-A-Center is kind of an expensive way to get furniture and appliances, but it’s super convenient. You’re really paying for the convenience. Sharon is awesome. I’ve had a different delivery guy every time, but they’re all nice.

Miranda the store manager made the experience with rent a center terrible. She is nosey, rude, and tries to give people life lessons. She calls 5 times a day right after you tell her a day your going to pay on a certain date. She doesn’t help when you really need it. She told me that paying rent a center was way more important than paying my rent or my children’s daycare when I barely had any money. Miranda also yells and cusses at her customers to make them upset. We got into a huge argument because when I called and let her know that because I lost my job I just won’t be able to afford the payments anymore and I didn’t like the way they did business, she told me she wouldn’t come and pick it up and argued with me then hung up and never dealt with me again. She is not professional and she should not be a store manager at all.

Do your business elsewhere, Miranda shouldn’t be in charge of running a store. Then after you’re out of a tough spot and try to make up the payments, you get the words “No Deal!” and a stressful conversation from their store manager. Trust me, we won’t make this mistake again.

This place is a nightmare I ordered 2 separate items and was told I Would get them on a Tuesday 2 wks went by and still got no items called them and they said I would get them today which was on weds of last week. it never came so I called again and instead of them calling me to tell me they are having truck issues I had to call them to find out so I cancelled my orders. and they have yet to give me my refund instead they keep tryin to get me to keep my order with them. oh and I didn’t mention that they also wanted me to make a payment on items that I haven’t received total nightmare situation i decided to go with aarons I do not recommend anyone renting anything with this rentacenter I never had issues with the one in belmont but I don’t live that close to belmont any more so I tried this one because it was closer to home. Please give me the refund from where I paid to reserve the items and then the money I paid to start the rentals
