I helped my son get a rental car due to the problems with Kia motors and his car was going to be in the shop for awhile. Unfortunately I had to wait several days to get a vehicle due to high demand. Brittney and the other gentleman (whose name I forgot to get) at Hertz were fantastic. The rental process was great except for me deciding to switch cards in mid transaction. Which through the system off, but other than that we were in and out quickly.

We were in a pinch as the airlines kept delaying and canceling out flights back to Wisconsin. Luckily..Hertz took car of us and rented us a beautiful, clean vehicle at a very affordable rate. I think the young lady (Brittany) did a great job in completing the paperwork and just taking car of us. From now on...Hertz will have our business and thanks again Brittany...you did a great job.

The rental experience was good but the manager was low key rude, but I ignored her because I needed at car, she needs better customer service. I'm still giving a 5 star because the other employees were very pleasant.

Definitely nothing on this property or any of the vehicles are cleaned and sanitized as stated online. Every car that I looked at available to rent was smoked in, reaking of some BO scent and really dirty. Most of the cars were beat up just like the one that I rented, see pictures. My rental was so damaged all over and inside I couldn't believe they still kept it. Paint cans leaked all over and even got inside. Inside the building was just as filthy. Pretty irritating when you rent a vehicle for a week and have to take it home and give it a full interior cleaning. I basically paid them a days rental so that I could clean their car for them. This location should be shut down or management should be fired. Do not rent from this location. Go somewhere else.

They do not provide cards with full tank of gas, calls the day of rental saying they do not have cars. Disappointed

I cannot stress enough how helpful this location was for us! We have had the most unlucky road trip traveling from Florida to Ohio.our car broke down, leading us to this Hertz for our rental. Brittany greeted us immediately upon arrival and when we ran into problems renting they managed to figure a way out for us to get a car. Such a timely fashion, and the staff was amazing. Thank you so much Matt and Brittany for going above and beyond for your customers. Your hard work does not go unnoticed!

I have always rented through Enterprise, but decided to go with Hertz this time while my car was in the shop. Big mistake. These kids don’t know how to properly clean or sanitize cars, they give you cars where the rotors are so warped if you even tap the brakes you think the car is going to lose control and crash, give you cars that have rear view mirrors that fly off when you turn left, and they do NOT disclose whether or not someone previously smoked in the vehicle. Having a very high sensitivity to cigarette smoke, I could pick up instantly when the car got hot on the inside that the cigarette smoke smell was seeping out from the car itself. DISGUSTING. And it made it HARD TO BREATHE. Good thing I only had to drive this wretched car for 2 days out of the week I had it. This place is horrible. They don’t care about their customers. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Returned a car rented in Durham. The return was handled with courtesy and efficiency. One customer ahead of me, the wait was short, the charges exactly as promised. I even received a receipt via email shortly after leaving the facility.

Never dealt with a place quite like this. You can’t rent a car unless you have a credit card with a balance of 500 dollars. My husband carries two small cards with balances equaling that, but they can’t split the balance, can’t take my card info over the phone, can’t use a debit card as credit. If I booked the car online idk why you needed another in the facility. Save your time and find an enterprise.

At the beginning of March I rented a car for two weeks from Hertz Rental Car located at 9218 South Boulevard in Charlotte, N.C. I was driving to Florida unexpectedly to lay the matriarch of my family to rest so I chose Hertz because I “thought” they were a reputable company. This particular Hertz location is an absolute eyesore and coupled with the horrific customer service I received guaranteed that I will NEVER rent from Hertz again. Here are some additional reasons why my experience completely soured me on the Hertz company. I was told that I would be receiving a car similar to a Chevrolet Malibu which was great for the size I needed; however, I was not told at the time I reserved the vehicle that their would be an additional $200 hold placed on my credit card to secure the rental vehicle. I only found this out upon my arrival to the rental counter. Additionally, the car I received was filthy which was shocking since we are in the midst of a global pandemic. The car was neither washed on the outside nor sanitized on the inside. There was a black liquid substance stain resembling some type of seeping coming from the gas tank which made me leery. I was extremely uncomfortable even touching the steering wheel so I proceeded to take the vehicle home and sanitize it myself the with Pinesol and Lysol spray. I sprayed the interior and whipped down every nock and cranny my hands could reach. Lastly, the rental return was an additional disaster. The instructions for the return where not made clear to me when I picked up the vehicle. I was not informed at the time of pick-up that the office closed at noon on Saturday. I had to drop the car off after hours which was not a process I was comfortable with. Consequently, no one informed me that I needed my rental contract to accompany the keys as part of the return. I had to find a random piece of paper to write the return date and time down on and slide the keys in the drop off slot. After this experience I wouldn’t recommend Hertz to my worst enemy.
