I have family in need. I took a necklace that was a present to myself and tried to return it. I explained that a family member of mine just lost their home and in need of a room for a few days. The clerk tells me on the phone " well it's been less than a month come on in". When I get there, two ppl waiting on one person and so I waited patiently. Never was I acknowledged until BOTH were done. Now the female clerk took my Kay's bag looked at what I purchased and said "do you have the receipt?" I didn't. I looked and looked. Then I called a different store and was informed by the clerk they could pull up the receipt because of the lifetime warranty. So I called Rockingham store. I talked to a different lady and she said "we sure can look it up" then she hesitated and gave the to the first lady I talked to and she stuttered a different store policy than ALL THE KAY JEWELERS. SHE SAID"IN THIS STORE YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT." I pray my treatment was not because of the color of my skin. Because when I was on my out to find the receipt the gentleman clerk asked did I pay with a card and I said yes. His look that he gave the female showed confusion. In these times we should treat all equally. I will be riding to the Aberdeen store today because they are more than happy to help my family. And pull a receipt for me.

The only reason for the 2 stars is the attentiveness and assistance the lady gave to me while purchasing an engagement ring, which I appreciated. Though, I’m afraid it was more self-serving for her than I. The first ring I wanted to look at, also the most expensive, she asked the young lady assisting her to see if I was eligible for the 25% off. The second, and still fairly expensive, ring again asked the young lady to look up if I was elgigble for the 25% off. After moving on to the now less than $2000 rings she stopped asking the girl and it was never brought up again and after purchasing a ring and looking online it was definitely 25% off so I had to basically return it and rebuy it to get the sales price. She also never asked me if I wanted the lifetime warranty which was $200. She completely made it sound like it just came with the ring upon purchase. This lady makes commission and I have no doubt in my mind that she was purposefully being deceitful to get as big of a commission as possible.

Believe that I got the best service I could get from the associates I met, but am still unsure as to the extent of the repairs I asked for, so have to hold off on a 5 star rating until I see the completion of the work.

I had a credit card with Kay’s and it’s paid off. I went a year without using it, and they closed it. I stopped buy and was looking for 2 things. The first thing was a certain citizen watch. I was told if they it wasn’t on their site, it’s not available. Well the Citizen Promaster Altichron they couldn’t find on their site. I would have ordered it because nobody has it. The sales person said they would follow up. Never did. Let’s not talk about the ring I was looking at. They kept saying these certain diamonds were certified. I thought she was saying used. No. A number is etched in the diamond. That’s been out. They didn’t create it. I was wonting to pick a ring and a diamond, and have it set. They have some company cone here and there to do that. So I found A store very close by to order me the watch, and sold me the ring. I wanted 1.25. One and a quarter karats. They showed me 3/4 and didn’t have nothing hardly. Personally I look at Kays as a chain of assembly line of cheap non quality Jewelry. They have great lighting for a reason. Don’t trust the quality. Sorry.

The Rockingham store worked extremely hard to search for two wedding bands that were no longer being made to match my FOREVER US engagement ring!!! (I wanted one for each side)!!!They had to search online & call around to different states to locate exactly what I needed. Thanks Rockingham team!!!!😀😁😀😁💙💚💜🧡💛💗💖💙💚💜🧡💛💗💖💙💜

Kay Jewelers in Rockingham has always given me the best service in town! They are quick to solve my jewelry needs and problems and even have one of the best departments in repair and custom jewelry! I find it funny but sad and unprofessional that a local jewelry store owner, Ellyn Brannick, would write a review about her own store, Helms Jewelers, one day before writing a negative review about the only true jewelry store we have in town. Please take your business to the only true jewelry store. Kay Jewelers and the friendly and exceptional staff there will take care of you and all of your jewelry needs. They even go the extra mile or two!

I went into Kays 2 or 3 times trying to get diamond studs. They did not have the size I wanted. The manager told me she would have two engagement rings ordered into the store so that the stones could be reset into studs. Six - seven weeks later I got a call that the rings where there- to late!!

Fiancé proposed on Dec.23rd 2016 with the Ever Us diamond engagement ring and I honestly was shocked. The staff was absolutely amazing , very kind and worked hard pulling off the proposal. I recommend anyone to go shop with the amazing women when it comes to any occasion. Will always shop at Kay Jewelers
