I booked a reservation for 5pm and the location wasn’t even open. Was posted that it opened at 1030 and i sat there until 1130 with no one getting me a car. HORRIBLE BUSINESS. I will never do business with them again

I wouldn't have given 1 star but had to just to get to comments. Must have had same guy. Rude. Went 7 days early to confirm online order car and price through State Farm. Not friendly and very curt. Wouldn't deliver per contract ( change website ) but told me to leave at collision place ? Then the best of all he jammed us into a Nissan Kicks not a Rogue. Said I'll call you at 5 we'll swap it. 4 days l as ter no swap. Told me he'd email receipt, never did. Done with Hertz

Easily my best car rental experience ever. The agent was professional and courteous and I enjoyed speaking with him. The absolute best price in the city of all the rental agencies and my vehicle was clean and had no issues. Will definitely rent my next vehicle from them when I go home to visit.

This is not a review of the company hertz. This is a review of the Hertz at Erie Intl Airport. Rudest person i have ever dealt with when returning car. I also witnessed him being rude to a client picking up a car. I would continue to use Hertz in other cities but never again in Erie PA I am always pleasant to employees so I have no idea why this person just treats everybody with such contempt but he treated me that way and other customers so that is why I'm leaving this review. In addition my car was not clean and smelled like smoke. I am a gold member with Hertz. I have never had an issue at any other location.

Absolutely ridiculous that Hertz doesn't accept the pay card from my job that I've been using everywhere for the last 4 years. After letting me enter it to secure the reservation on Hertz website, getting all the way to the rental place (where the gentleman at the counter was exceptionally rude and impatient and wouldn't even try to see if he could get it approved), now I have to waste an entire 2 hours of my vacation and resort to driving my car while it's unreliable. Thanks for nothing Hertz.

Turned in my car early because it had a maintenance issue. Terrible experience. Nobody was at the counter, and I waited for five minutes, then walked to the garage to check there. I didn't find anyone at the garage so I walked back to the counter inside. The manager walked over as if everything was okay. I said I had been waiting for 20 minutes and instead of an apology, he told me that was impossible. I asked if he was calling me a liar and he wouldn't respond. I've tried calling all the corporate office numbers without any luck. To make matter worse, this car was the company's second attempt. This first car I rented out of a Lexington office smelled terribly of cigarette smoke. Not only would I like an apology for this terrible experience, and insulting servive from this manager, I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company. Do not use Hertz!

Could not pick out the car even though I have a thirty year Triple A membership card. Very expensive as well. The child I was babysitting found a needle in the back. Nothing was done about this, not even a discount, even though I spoke to a supervisor. The child who was put under my care was endangered by this company and they did nothing to my knowledge to compensate or fix this. Will not ever rent from this company again. Livid does not begin to describe my feelings after dealing with Hertz in Erie.

I booked a car the day before for 8 am pick up. I arrived the next day to pick up the vehicle to find that no one was in their office. Their office hours online and in the airport claimed they open at 8 am but when I finally gave up at 9:15 am, a Hertz employee still had not arrived. When I arrived there was no one at their counter to process me and when I called customer service and were totally not helpful. After waiting at their office for an hour , an airport employee attempted to help me but I had lost all confidence in the transaction. This person was not a Hertz employee and therefore could not properly address the situation.
