Kitchen Chemistry opened in the summer of 2010 as a bakery supply and education facility. Shortly after, in December of that same year, they began selling made from scratch cupcakes and other baked goods. The business grew, and Lisa was able to start making beautiful custom cakes. In the summer of 2014 there was a devastating fire in the middle of the night in the kitchen area from a faulty piece of equipment, forcing the business to close it's doors for 9 months. In the spring of 2015, Kitchen Chemistry reopened with a new, much larger kitchen and completely new vision. While they no longer sell cake decorating supplies, they still offer workshops, birthday parties and private events!

Back in July, we did a taste testing for our wedding cake. We chose cake, filling & icing flavors which were given to us in a to go box. We got to take it home & mix & match our flavor choices. So fun! We chose Red velvet, strawberry filling & vegan cream cheese frosting. So delicious! The cake was moist & the frosting was sweet but not too sweet & I LOVE the cake design. Simple & totally matched our vibe. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a decade & it’s because I am always so pleased & excited to see what is created. Thanks to Lisa & her team.

Kitchen chemistry has been our family’s go to bakery for years! It all started from the cupcakes that had us sold! Their presentation and quality of all there baked goodies speak for them self! They absolutely nailed my wife’s birthday cake! I went right into the store and showed them a picture and they made it better! The cupcakes were delicious! We ordered 10 dozen and they arrived, right on time. The custom order was exactly what I wanted. The oreo cupcakes were super sweet (and a big hit with the kids. The birthday cake cupcakes were just slightly less sweet and simple and perfect. Thank you again Kitchen Chemistry for a job well done!

the cake was absolutely beautiful. the decorator did a great job however the cake itself tasted nasty. the cake was so dense and thick we stopped after only a few bites. the filling was thin and barely noticeable. and the taste of the chocolate was weird. disappointed.

So I’ve been to Kitchen Chemistry before and it was a couple years ago and I LOVED the products, but there’s something that happened today that I NEED to share. I went to Giant for a cake for my mom’s birthday. There wasn’t a single person who could write on my cake in the bakery. I was SO lucky when a woman named Carly overheard my issue. She LITERALLY wrote on the cake for me in the baking aisle! Not only was she SOO sweet and helpful, it looks so good! She’s absolutely amazing and the world needs more people like her!

I had to use Kitchen Chemistry for my wedding cake, since my wedding cake was included in my wedding package and paid for by my venue. I was not impressed with them from beginning to end, and wish I had more options. When we went for our tasting we had an "appointment" that included standing at the front counter with an employee who could not tell me anything about what my venue did or did not pay for, but wanted me to start making selections, while the busy store moved around us. Once the package details were worked out, we were given 4 cupcake flavors, icings, and fillings to take home to try to see if we liked them. Any other flavors would need to be tasted on a later date and at our own expense. While there, I showed and emailed the consultant a picture of the design I wanted for our cake. I was told it could be done, with edible sequins and agreed to pay the extra $225 for the design since my venue would not pay for it. Below is a pictures of what I asked for, and what I got on my wedding day. Had they told me they could not recreate the design, or that edible sequins do not look like real sequins, I would have happily chose a different design. I gave them 2 stars because the cake tasted good and was delivered on time without incident.

Very tasty cupcakes, will order cakes as has to be ordered in advance. Very creative little store and very friendly staff, following mask guidelines as well.

An easy bakery to work with. My cake was provided by the venue and then we paid a small, very reasonable fee for fresh strawberries to be added into our strawberry jam layer. The vanilla icing and cake was perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. Everything complemented each other and our simple design of ombré blue was exactly what we wanted!
