Wanted a basic gel manicure on my natural nails for my birthday. I am so disappointed - they simply don’t care to pay attention to detail. My nails weren’t coated on the sides, my cuticles are completely flooded with polish so as soon as my nails start growing theyll lift and chip. And I walked out with polish all over the skin surrounding my nails. Will never be returning. Service: Manicure

If I could give this place a 0 rating I would. I came to Veda because my normal salon in mount pleasant was farther away and I've already been disappointed with Vedas service before but thought I should give them a second chance. Once again, probably the worst nail salon in Charleston. They refused to do fix my nails with a different color or even give me a discount, I haaaaddd to get the same color and the same thing if I wanted it to be fix for free after spending over $50 on these. I should have at least have given a refund. So upset especially because these were my birthday nails. One picture is from the day of and the next is 3 days later. TERRIBLE! Services: Dip powder, Manicure

AVOID THIS BUSINESS. I got dip powder on my nails and two days later one cracked. I was annoyed but I glued it myself and let it go. I am exactly one week into these nails and 4 of them are completely cracked. I called today asking to come in to have them fixed and was told no that there is only a 3 DAY window to fix nails. Dip powder usually lasts me a good 3 weeks. I spent $65 on my nails to have them break within a matter of a week. I asked if I could please come back in again and the man who I spoke with on the phone told me no, to call back tomorrow and then hung up on me. Rude, unprofessional and clearly do not care about their work or reputation. Service: Dip powder

Very long wait, very expensive. Fill in and 2 nails with design cost only $20 less than both of us getting a full set and every nail designed at another place

I have gone to Veda for 4 years. Very disappointed with my last service. Nails (dip powder) were very thick and started separating within 2 weeks (I can usually go 2-3). Also as a result of the separating - i have fungal infection. I have been told this was more a result of the process than having my hands in water. Services: Dip powder, Pedicure

I recently visited on vacation after family recommended. Strangest thing ever when the man doing my nails said I had to pay before he polished my nails. I was in the chair farthest from the register but he didn’t let me even bring my card up. He took it from me and was gone for about 3 minutes before returning with my items. I signed and he painted my nails. They turned out absolutely awful, looks like a clear coat. Also chipped the same day but i figured as much because I got normal polish. But that’s not where the story ends, because when I get home from vacation I go to use the card I used there. I had very little money on it now. I still had the card, it wasn’t lost. But there were about 6 or 7 unrecognized charges on my card. The only thing we can think of is that he stole the information from my card when he took it to charge me. I used my card NOWHERE else while I was away, hardly even took it out of the house because I knew I was paid for by people I was with. Watch out if you decide to come here because not only will they do a bad job on your nails, but they will also steal your money. Literally. Service: Manicure

This is the 2nd time I visited this location within the past two months. A male did my mani with gel polish. It is clean, relaxing and the staff is professional.

I got a gel manicure here, and it was simultaneously the worst and most expensive manicure I’ve gotten. I was charged $38, normally I pay around $25. My nails are short and I only do one color, no designs. My hands are a little bit dry and I had a hang nail or two prior to coming, and while filing down my old gel polish, I actually started bleeding on two different fingers because the file kept scraping against my skin. The manicurist asking if my fingers were already bleeding like that when I came in. They weren’t. Then said it was because my skin was too dry and sensitive. She never apologized. My skin is pretty dry year round, however I’ve never had this happen in a professional salon. At the end of the visit my nails didn’t even look good, I could have given my self a better manicure, however I don’t have the UV light to do gel myself.

This nail salon was exceptional. I am getting married this week and generally don't get my nails done. My fiance came with me for a pedicure and I did my nails. Danle worked on my nails and she did an exceptional job! I enjoyed her sharing stories with us. Jenni did my fiance's pedicure and he really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend this salon and I will definitely come again.
