They have very disrespectful pharmacist employees that work there. Will not go there again. They are the worst CVS here in Amarillo

Cashier was very rude and did not want to serve customers in line. Was directed to self checkout, where I stated I was unable to bag items myself due to being one handed and having a severe wound on my hand (that I was purchasing supplies for). Self checkout has no volume control, and had 0 bags stocked so I had to struggle to carry my items out. 0/5 star experience. Will not choose CVS in the future.

I got my Moderna booster shot at the CVS in Amarillo off of Washington. The store was clean and the staff were kind. Setting up an appointment online was quick and easy, as was receiving the vaccine itself in one of the private vaccination rooms (pictured). It was the quickest and least painful vaccination experience I have ever had. Additionally the technician was aware of my appointment and my allergies. I would highly reccomend this location and this team!

Sat in line for 40 minutes waiting for a prescription I was told was filled. I was upset and the woman working the window decided to tell me I was disrespectful. As soon as I leave the drive up, my phone rings. It's the automated message telling me my prescription isn't ready yet. Well no sh#$. If you were me you might have had the same reaction. Every time I have a prescription filled here its a problem. The staff are not at all helpful, extremely slow and give out incorrect information and then have the audacity to call me disrespectful. She hasn't seen disrespectful.

I live down on bell but I still come down to this pharmacy for my me and my moms meds ONLY because of the big old male oriental pharmacist. I feel like every time I go get meds, we are not just “another customer” but he really takes his time to listen to us and help. He always takes care of my mom and asks her about how her day is going. He’s very down to earth and would do anything for us. The rest of the staff are great too! Last time he found us an online coupon and saved us almost 40 dollars on our medications. He’s very knowledgeable and actually comes out of the pharmacy to help me find eye drops. If you come here for your drugs ask for him! I think his name is Ging! <3

If there was a -10 star rating that would be it. So how can a pharmacy go against what the Dr prescribed? So I tried the generic of a drug for months because my insurance was like a 🐢, better yet a 🐌. So my insurance then kicks in and asked my Dr if I could please get brand, because that's what I was used to for years and never had problems like I do now. So my pharmacy which is like right next door to me didn't have brand but had to order. So my CVS deletes my prescription and tells me to contact my Dr to have it written to this one on Washington because they have it in stock; well, 46 of them to be exact. So I was on the phone asking if in fact my Dr had called them in yet and was on hold forever. An hour later was hung up on then call back was on hold for at least 30 minutes then called my store back at 5:30pm on a Wednesday to be yelled at saying the pharmacy was closed and hung up on. Few minutes later I look over at the CVS and they were wide open? Hm. Call back Washington and pressed 2 like I was a Dr or prescriber and yay I got em. Nope no Dr called yet. I go to bible study and get a call from Washington store. Got the phone call from your Dr and your brand is ready but we close at 8. Then I high tail it across town in icy roads and went through the drive thru and almost left the parking lot and low and behold. Generic partial fill. All that for something I could've gotten right next door and could've gotten my entire prescription at the least without anyone lying and being rude. My insurance doesn't pay for it and we don't have that in stock lies .When they had 46. I mentioned that also, but, oh no, uh,uh they were expired. I hope you can sleep at night Melissa. God bless!!! Update: I have recently talked to the pharmacist and in hopes that they have fixed this problem? I will see Thursday? So I changed the review to 3 stars for now...

This pharmacy would be laughably bad, if literally holding people's lives in your hands were a humorous situation in any way. I have my prescriptions signed up for automatic refills, but the last time I went to pick them up I was told that their policy is that I have to request my auto refills in order to get them. Uh, what? I have requested that they be filled by signing up for automatic refills! I'm trying to transfer all of my prescriptions to another location, but it's difficult when this location holds your medications hostage and won't even answer the phone for another pharmacist from the same company. They won't allow the other location to take over filling the meds even though I've requested it.

Nice pharmacist, got done quickly, Usually have too wait a coupla hours. After they have the script, ask pharmacy and they can tell you how long. Its hard to get a hold of the pharmacy on the phone, your best bet is to just go up there to talk to them. They are comparitive to other pharmacies, very busy, and sometimes the wait for medication is a bit frustrating, but it like that anywhere you go.

They filled my medication wrong and caused me to go short. When I contacted them, the head pharmacist made it out to be my problem. In fact I was treated so poorly that I filed a grievance with the Texas Board that governs the pharmacy. They investigated and in fact found in my favor that the CVS had filled my prescription wrong. Every one makes mistakes. But this CVS lacks the integrity to admit when they make a mistake and the ethics to fix it.

Will be taking my buisness elsewhere. The pharmacist obviously doesn't care about any medication errors that may occur. Pharmaceutical errors are a huge part of deaths in the healthcare industry. What if my medication would have got into the wrong hands? What of the pills I had were a matter of life or death? She did not care at all. I don't trust people that feel no weight of responsibility for their actions. My advice, take your business elsewhere.
