Second time where I have had pharmacy issues. The first time a provider sent in a rx, and they claimed he asked for the wrong medication (even though he got it from their formulary), after 3 - 4 hours of wrangling with this , Walgreens acknowledged, they got the prescription and it would take 2 - 3 hours to get filled, no problem. About 4 hours went by I called the pharmacy to inquire about my prescription, and was told they were out of stock and were not sure when they would get it in. so here I go calling the doctor to see about getting it transferred to another pharmacy (not Walgreens), it was done and in less than 3 hours my prescription was ready. Due to a sudden onset of an issue my provider sent a prescription to Walgreens for me to pick up, unbeknownst to me at the time, to make a long story short, I was supposed to get the prescription yesterday the 24th., called the pharmacy and was informed that my prescription would not be ready until today after 4PM. Lo and behold I get an alert now saying the medication is out of stock, and they will let me know when its ready. My question is I am pretty sure they know their stock level when they get prescriptions, why do they not contact you and inform you of this to see if you would like to transfer it to another Walgreens, or contact your doctor to see about discontinuing your prescription with them and sending it to another pharmacy with the patients permission. This seems to be an ongoing practice with Walgreens, and whether you need something urgent or not they are not going to notify you they will just hold on to your prescription until they can fill it. Basically, its about money, they don't care about you and you needs when it comes to prescriptions, but they care a whole lot about getting your money from the sale of prescriptions. Walgreens used to be very reliable and good at what they do, but today they do not care. I can say this honestly if I had told my provider to send my prescription though the mail order service, I am sure I would get my prescription in less time than its taking Walgreens, and without all of these excuses. It's sad to say but a grocery store chain, has much better service when it comes to prescriptions, and trust me I will be using that grocery store chain to fill prescriptions that I need right away.

My daughter has the flu! I called to get her prescription filled at 6:15 was on the phone with pharmacist for 9 min giving them all information. I gave them the pharmacy to where to call to get it transferred. Tamiflu. So here I am patiently waiting to get this prescription filled. My husband goes and they have no record of ever speaking to me even though I have the logged call! I recognized the foreign man voice, they can’t get my daughters medication now because Walmart is closed. It’s now 8:30 pm and they’ve done nothing! Now I’m left with calling my daughters after hours dr and trying to find this prescription somewhere else. This is the FLU on a child and their negligence is unprofessional! Don’t use this pharmacy!

Absolutely terrible service! Set in paper prescription, because Walgreens didn’t receive my doctor’s request for medication. Called several hours later and Walgreens had “no record” or any information of the prescription that I physically dropped off. On hold for about 40 minutes… then hung up on. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE

I saw a button that I could press snd every 30 seconds there was a voice recording stating help was needed on vitamin aisle. After 15 minutes of waiting with a fractured ankle I left. I went to cashier with a couple of items and she asked how I was doing and I said that I was the one for all the pages on no one came. She said the manager left snd he was the only one that had a key. WTH!! No telling how long they would have let me just stand there. I will never step back in that store.

My husband is diabetic and there have been several times he hasn’t been able to get his diabetic medications, but that has been caused by miscommunication between the insurance not coming together with the pharmacy in order to provide the medications he has to have. I fear that times are going to get much worse the older we get. Again, I do not blame the pharmacy for the times when he can’t get his medications. This is entirely on the insurance company.
