Went in for oil change and inspection. Their inspection system was down and I could only get an oil change if I had the cash. Absolutely no courtesy or concern. I’ve been going here for 3 years and I have 3 vehicles and the service has always been exceptional until now. The guy lounging behind the counter has no customer service skills. I won’t be back.

If you need anything from an oil change to a major car repair go see Kim! She knows vehicles and knows how to have them repaired! She did an outstanding job detecting the problem and now the car is fixed! Plus we ended up getting the car back a day early!

Excellent service. Got me in right away, and free coffee while I waited. Was also lesser cost than some of the other oil change places.

It's refreshing to find a good mechanic that does quality work at affordable pricing, is efficient, super service oriented and trustworthy. That has been my experience at Kwik Kar with Kim and Crew at the Rockwall location. I highly recommend them and will certainly be a repeat Customer. Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

I have never been to a Kwik Kar where I felt like the people there genuinely care about your experience and only want you to buy unnecessary things. The Rockwall Kwik Kar was great! I could tell that they just want you to do what’s best for you and don’t try to sell you things you don’t need. everyone there is extremely friendly! I will be going back! Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I thought they did a great job until about 10 min into driving, I heard a scraping noise once I got on the highway. I pull over to a safe area and look under the car and the protective cover under the engine is hanging down. It was missing screws in the front. I’m assuming they just tucked it in and it came undone with the wind once I started driving on the highway. I brought it back to them, and when I checked it they only put back one screw, there is still some screws missing so I’ll have to get some myself, they obviously didn’t care to put all of them back. They also didn’t apologize. Just “thanks have a great day”. Had I driven over a speed bump or something, it could have ripped the whole cover off and maybe even caused other damage. If you bring your car and have protective covers underneath, I suggest you check them before you leave.

Awesome place! We had an oil leak on our truck due to the filter not being screwed in right by another oil change place. They quickly examined our truck and changed the oil filter and topped it off quickly and made sure it was completely fixed. I will NEVER use another place again. I HIGHLY recommend coming here! Service: Oil change

I have had the following experience at this shop - Oil Leaked from drain plug 2 changes ago. I took it back in and instead of replacing the plug that appeared to be stripped the technician said he “Flipped the gasket” and it's not leaking any more. However, after the most recent oil change it was leaking again. - During the most recent oil change the Manager removed one of our spark plugs and took it into the lobby to show my wife how “worn down” it was and how we really needed a tune up/replacement. However, I replaced these plugs personally less than a year ago. That very night I pulled the plugs and examined them and they were still in brand new shape. The plugs were in no need or replacement. See Picture. - After the last oil change when our plug was leaking again I was given a hard time about getting them to replace it. The manager insisted that oil plugs are parts that just “wear out” over time. However, no reputable mechanic (Professional and amateur) that I have talked with has agreed with this statement. Plug failures are due to cross threading and over tightening. - The shop did attempt to install a replacement plug. I was told that they put in a piggyback plug and that they also sealed it with a silicone sealant so it would not leak any more. However, one day later it was leaking again. - I called the shop to let them know their fix didn’t work. The manager told me that at this point the only thing they could do was to replace the oil pan, that there was “no way” they could put another plug into it. I asked that since this is the only place we have had our oil changes for years if that was something they were going to take care of for us since it appears the damage was caused by them. The manager again insisted that oil plugs and pans getting stripped was normal wear and tear. She did offer to only charge me wholesale for the oil pan (she said $395) and would “just eat” the $40-$50 gasket price and that it would cost in total “only” $595. However, I found that the part was available at retail price at O’Reillys for $255 or on RockAuto for $185. Also, there is no $40-50 gasket, its just a silicone seal. - Because the information I was able to find online and from other mechanics was so at odds with the manager’s statements I had a mobile mechanic come and look at our car to check the oil pan and the drain plug. He found that when this shop put the piggyback plug in they did not use a gasket at all and that the silicone sealant they used was destined to fail because the silicone can’t adhere to oil. He said there was no way that fix would have worked long term the way it was installed. Additionally, he easily installed another oversized drain plug on the pan with no issues. It is not leaking anymore. Having a mobile mechanic come out and work on my car and replace the plug correctly cost me $120. We will not take any of our vehicles to this shop again because of these experiences. From our experience it appears that this shop attempted to sell us services we very clearly didn’t need (they even tried to pass off a near new part as worn out), they gave us a hard time about fixing the damage it appears they caused, they again tried to sell me a service I didn’t need (oil pan), and our discussions on pricing feel dishonest. I will be actively discouraging any of my friends/family and anyone who reads this review to take or continue to take your vehicle here. If you do I strongly recommend you not take their word on needed repairs without first getting a second opinion. If we had blindly listened to them we would have spent $160 replacing our already brand new spark plugs and $600 replacing an oil pan that only needed a correctly installed oversize drain plug. Finally, I attempted several different ways to find and get ahold of the actual owner of their franchise but if you try to call them and ask about the owner they hang up on you.
