This location always gives me terrible service. Came in today to do a withdrawal and the curly long haired lady doesn't listen to the bills I wanted. Why ask what bills do I prefer? if your not going to listen. Guess she doesn't count that many twenty bills. Then she only counts the bills to herself when I always go to other locations the teller counts out loud to you to make sure everything is there. Plus not once did she ask me if I wanted an envelope I had to ask for one. Then she asks her co worker do we have envelopes. Seriously why would you not have one? Also had to tell her she didn't give me the bills I wanted and ask if she can give me more twenty bills. Once she did she wanted me to sign as if I was doing another withdrawal. What is she trying to do another withdrawal without my acknowledgement? Thats stealing and makes me distrust this location. Good thing I caught her and when I asked why I had to sign again she didn't say anything and just gave me the twenty bills. Very shady at this location.

I normally don’t make bad reviews and this bank has been good to me (that’s why I’m leaving them with 5 stars) HOWEVER I had a bad experience with a customer service rep. Olivia is her name. Very rude. I’m not sure if I caught her on a bad day but her attitude put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. For example, the first time someone tried to transfer me over to her accidental transferred me to what I think was a customer so I had to call back and the gal was very sorry for transferring me to the wrong person (not a big deal at all) Then she tried again and when Olivia answered her phone all I heard was “umm hello”. I thought I got transferred to the wrong person again. So I introduced MYSELF and asked her if she was Olivia and that’s when she replied with “uhh yeah”. Alright…. Now what really bothered me the most was when I asked her a few clarifying question about my account she would let out a laugh and then answer my question using a tone that made me feel very small and stupid. I decided to get off the phone with her and call back to speak with somebody else. I know the world is a crazy place and Again I’m never the one to complain but she truly put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day. I wish the bank would pull up our conversation. but either way I hope this is not how she treats everybody else.

The bank teller that assisted me, Belen, was very helpful. She was attentive and efficient, as well delivered outstanding customer service. This has not been my experience before when going to a bank. Based on my interaction with her, I am giving this Macu location 5 stars.

We walked into the new building which was very modern and very clean in appearance. We were immediately greeted and asked how we could be served. The teller was friendly and had a warmth about him that made us feel welcomed. We explained that we needed to close one account and place those funds into another account. It was accomplished very quickly. Our experience was very nice and on our way to the car I told my wife that I felt that was one of the better exchanges we have had at a financial business we have had for a long time. We were both very happy and will do business at this location from now on.

Today a handicapped older friend of mine had walked from 8640 south state street to 10200 so state st. She called me in pain and panic. She was trying to get to her dentist appointment. I was able to pick her up and bring her to my place which she was 2 hours early for her appointment anyways I was not able to get her a ride rest of the way so holding her hand to keep her steady as we walked up a monster hill to wait for the bus. I had gone into mountain America credit union and asked if I could use a chair and explained the situation. The staff was very understanding compassionate and eager to accommodate her in any way. It is heartwarming to know kindness can still be found in the community. My friend has multiple sclerosis and she is in her late 50's. To the staff thank you all for being genuinely kindhearted to a stranger. May you all receive the same kindness in your daily travels as well Thank you again

I will forever avoid using any MACU branch in the future. When applying to co-sign on an auto loan, I asked a specific question relating to my situation before submitting the application, and was told my concern would not affect my ability to qualify as a co-signer. They went ahead and pulled a hard credit check (which they are always plenty quick to do) and then I was not approved for the loan BECAUSE OF THE ONE SPECIFIC THING I ASKED ABOUT AND WAS TOLD WOULD BE FINE. I then proceeded to make THIRTEEN phone calls over the course of three weeks to try and resolve the situation. MACU offered no helpful solutions even though this whole mess was because of a mistake on their end. On multiple occasions I was told a representative would call me back, but aside from one time it always took me calling back or emailing to receive a response. I never even heard back from the original employee (I was told his name was Thomas) who misinformed me before submitting the application. In the end, we couldn’t move forward with the loan, and MACU didn’t do anything to make right their wrongs. Thankfully there are other competent credit unions in the area, and we will be taking our business elsewhere. I communicated with one individual (Kaylie) from this branch for most of the time I was attempting to resolve the issue, but will be posting this review with other branches in the valley, as the general MACU “customer service” line was also no help.
