Been going for years. Didn't mind making the longer drive to get to this location, but now and days it seems rough. I don't know if it's just understaffed, too many patients coming to this site, or both, but it's not the same quality of service I had when I first started using Banfield.

Always a good time for my senior dog bunny. The doctors here are much more willing to work (on dental surgeries etc) with you compared to other locations

Just horrendous service. From the incompetent front desk staff to the constant pushes to sell you unnecessary services for your dogs... don't bother complaining, as Kate, the 'manager' is a child, like the rest of the incompetent employees there. (There's one guy there, Victor? Sorry if I'm wrong about the name, but he's great. The rest? Wow; rude, ineffective and unable to communicate. The finest the 'Z' generation has to offer). They'll be living with their parents until they're in their 30's.Don't be lazy like I was...leave this place and go to one of the many qualified vets in the area. "Just look at the reviews Jack!"-Joe Biden Update: I just got off the phone with my new vet. From the first phone call, wow, what a difference. Professional, pleasant and efficient. There's a better way people!

At this point we should be able to go into the appointments with our animals. At the very least if they require drop off, we should be able to pick them up within an hour from their appointment. Today we dropped off our dog for a 9:30 appointment and told us that he would be done no later than 5pm. Covid does not prevent them from keeping a schedule. It is cruel and unfair that our dogs are kept in a kennel all day because they cannot be timely and efficient. It is expected that they keep to a schedule so that our pets do not have to suffer. Not to mention, we pay monthly for pet insurance and they do not call to alert us when our pets vaccinations are about to expire. When we try to make an appointment the next availability is months away. Our dog is 11 and one thing is for sure, we will not using Banfield for any of our next animals.

My pet had an appointment at 10:30 am and I arrive at 10:36 am. Upon arrival the front desk ask me to take a seat while she check out another person. Following that she accuse me me of being late and made me wait while she served other people. I will not be returning to the place. They have awful service.

Horrible Experience! Took my 2 month old puppy to get 3 shots, dropped him off at 9 am and got a call 15 mins later saying to call back and discuss another treatment he may need. I called back for hours and was on hold for HOURS, I left messages saying not to proceed with the other treatments just to do the scheduled shots. I then get a call around 5 pm asking AGAIN if I want to proceed with the other tests i again said no and was on my way to pick him up at 5:30. I arrived at the hospital and was asked again if I want to do the treatment I said no and the women in the front told me that the vet did not do any of my puppies shots like I was told she would do because “they had no answer from me about doing the other treatment” which is absolutely absurd. He was there from 9am to 5 pm, had nothing done and no one answered any of my phone calls. Then before leaving with my puppy with no shots, the vet recommended 3 very expensive medications for his Diarrhea that he never had. Fraud and waste of money. Never taking any animal here again! Don’t do it!!

This location is just too burnt out and overworked. Their doctors and associates look overwhelmed, no one has time to answer the phone, their patient board is always overflowing with names with a small staff, and all the examinations and procedures are rushed. Patients get zero communication with the doctor on-site since they're so busy, so a lot of information gets lost in translation. There are also so many last minute charges and fees, expect your bill to be twice or three times the amount they initially mentioned–and this is all with the wellness program. I've already spent more than $3,000 the past two months just dealing with my dog's cushings disease. I just want to make it clear, it's not any of the employees or doctors fault. I can see they're doing their absolute best. Management is to blame for the chaos.

I took my cat in for a simple 15 minute travel health certificate and rabies booster. $320 dollars. This is absurd. I dropped her off at 8 am, they said they would notify me when done; by 5:45 (closes at 6 pm) they had not called me. I had tried calling several times, waiting on hold for forever, and yet was never able to reach anyone. How does it take 10 hours for them to do a 15 minute check up and vaccine??? What absurdity is this? My poor cat was shaking afterward from having to be stuck in a crate surrounded by dogs the entire day. And, how could a 15 mn appointment cost $300??? Can someone explain? This place is terrible and I highly don't recommend.

Absolutely love them! They take great care of your little companions. I had used them before in another Banfield and had a difficult time with an aging Yorkie. Was not happy with her care there and lack of a prognosis so I stopped using them. Moved back to Northern VA and after price comparisons with other local vets decided to give this location a try. I am very happy with the care they give my 4 month old Dobie mix, Pixie. #pixiedust_from_thepotomac She is happy, healthy and well cared for by them. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, understanding, and empathetic. When my 15 yr old Yorkie passed away in his sleep recently, I called them about cremation. Not a problem. They allowed me time to say goodbye and helped me to deal with his passing. I/we were treated with dignity and respect. Thank you Banfield of Falls Church. May we have a long and happy relationship ❤!

Do not recommend. We took out puppy here are multiple occasions after he got Giardia from the dog park. We NEVER ONCE spoke to his actual vet. It was always a vet assistant who called us to give us about his diagnosis/ treatment plan. Every time I asked a question they would have to go check with the vet.. it was like a game of telephone. We also NEVER ONCE were able to schedule a timed appointment. We were told that vet wasn't doing timed appointments until after her July 4 vacation, so instead we were forced to drop him off at 9am and have him wait in their crate for HOURS until she had time to see him. No matter how far in advance we scheduled him appointments this was always the case. Lastly, 90% of the time when we picked him up a vet assistant would bring him out and it wasn't even the one who worked on his case!!! It would be a random vet assistant who knew nothing about our dog or his condition. After multiple visits for Giardia with no sign of improvement, we took him to new vet and saw immediate improvement. I'm sure there are other Banfield locations that are great, this is not one of them. We wasted TIME and our dog remained SICK because he wasn't receiving proper care. We also wasted so much money on the multiple visits. Help your dog and go somewhere else.
