After reserving a car 3 weeks in advance, (THREE WEEKS) I was notified one hour before my pickup time that no cars were available and none were expected to be available. After trying to contact them by phone for 35 minutes ( busy signal) I decided to drive to 45 mile round trip to see what was going on. Opon arrival I was told there was a car shortage.Really? I also noticed that of the two women in the office, no one was on the phone. When I question them about the busy signal I was informed “that our phones were by our sides all morning and we never received any calls” I left totally disgusted and without even an apology. THANKS FOR NOTHING!! UPDATE Thank you sooo much for the “cookie cutter “response concerning the major inconvenience that was caused by your lack of professionalism. When I checked in I was told by the "branch manager" that the vehicle was sent for an oil change and would not be available till 230pm. With no other vehicles available. The fact that they will happily take your reservation and make the decision to knowingly inconvenience and complicate your further travel itinerary is frankly mind boggling. For missed flights and additional expenses do I sue the manager directly for his incompetent behavior or Enterprise Rent a Car? People make plans for their itinerary based on the information available on their respective website. If a branch has no vehicles available for rent on a given day thy should say NO VEHICLES AVAILABLE FOR RENT. Otherwise a space vehicle with compensation or upgrade should be available to satisfy contract obligations. The absolute definition of piss poor management. If I could have given a negative rating I would have. Additionally the replacement rental agreement was an additional $100 dollars. Being said the vehicle and rental through CLS Auto were flawless. I always used Enterprise back when I flew out of Norfolk. I liked their policy. Haven't rented a car from Enterprise at this location but when I do it will be from past experiences in Norfolk that makes a return customer here.

My car ended up breaking down on the side of the road, and I attempted calling in for a rental. The first person I talked to kept confusing the information, first asking for the pick up location, in VA then asked for the drop off, in GA. Once both were told, they completely disregarded the first location and started setting up a reservation at the return location for pick up and drop off. No matter how many times I said I needed to pick up in VA, they continued to attempted to set the pickup in GA. After a long period of debate, he finally said that what we were asking for was out of what he could do in reservations and that we needed to call the location we wanted to pickup at. After another 5 minutes of trying to explain that I’m not in near or around GA at the time to pick up, I got the number for the South Hill location, that only led back to the reservation line. So I went to the actual location and arrived around noon and the place was closed saying “will be back sometime before 5pm”. Ended up just getting a uhaul across the street. A lot less hassle. Definitely my last time with enterprise.

This South Hill location is the best yet. Nazir will get you rolling! He’s very friendly and helpful. Come on get your rentals here. My only complaint with this site is the fact that there’s only one Enterprise employee to do everything and only one person that washes the vehicles. It’s almost impossible to get through with a phone call then you drive there only to have no rental!!!! Update 11 FEB 21 Not anymore. I took away 2stars for this. I understand that COVID-19 is serious and that you can only have 1 customer in at a time butttttttt the 2employees they have working in here now allowed me to stand outside in the rain as the male was on the work phone and the female was on her cellphone. I stood there for at least 5min the male did acknowledge my presence with a finger and the female only turned looked at me while continuing to attend to her phone. I took me service elsewhere!

And your vehicle is at a speed of 45 to 50 trying to merge in traffic moving 70 and above. 🤦 other than that, they have worked with me when an issue. Good service associates.
