I wasn’t alerted by my apartments that construction was going on so my car was towed. They towing agent kindly explained the situation and I went about my day I had called to inquire about scratches on my vehicle and was appalled by the customer service agents rude attitude for the inquiry. I have reported it to the BBB and plan to take legal recourse for any damages. She asked for me to submit any damages for the car and I explained I was unaware how to get a good photo of the underside of the vehicle she quickly called back realizing she hadn’t even inquired my name or phone # for the potential damage report. There was a recent situation reported to the bbb about a similar incident I hope they actually make effort into resolving this issue.

DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Super unprofessional, towed me WITH my correct tag which was ripped from my rearview - once I picked my car up the door was unlocked and like I said the visitors tag was ripped off. The office is disgusting, they leave dogs in there overnight, they are scammers and money hungry. Spoke to the police to double check my laws and was correct that they are fraudulently running a business and was recommended to report their business for fraud. I highly recommend you all do this here is the website to report (reportfraud.ftc.gov). They also damaged my car and refuse to cover damages THEY caused from improper towing. Owner is so rude and claims she knows how to run a business that she’s been doing it “for 15 years” yeah… a scamming business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVERYONE SHOULD REPORT THIS IS UNETHICAL AND NOT HOW A BUSINESS IS SHOULD BE. This review should be zero stars actually because they are rude and know they are breaking the law. When I spoke to the woman she said “do you want your car?” when I asked “do you know you’re breaking the law” she refused to answer because SHE KNEW she was in the wrong. she lied to me and I got it on film claiming that the police knows that they charge $170. According to virginia state law § 46.2-1233.1 towing company must charge $150 for day of pick up if car was towed after 8am. Service: Car towing

Takes calling 4 times for them to answer. Open sign is up, no one is inside the building. They leave a dog alone there overnight and when no one is inside which isn’t healthy for the dog. Trying to make me wait for someone to come to the office to pick up my stuff from my car. Need a towing company? Shanks is the best.

Outstanding customer service and support. My driver went above and beyond what I thought was normal, to assist and tow my vehicle from an awkward location. His flatbed was inadequate initially so he went back to the shop retrieved a Rowling tow and successfully delivered my vehicle to my mechanic's shop with no problem. Price was the same without any increase because of change of towing equipment. They were timely, efficient and a well organized group.

Long story short, my wife and I were heading out of town on a Friday evening and our car broke down about 5 miles from the house. We contacted our insurance company who dispatched two different towing companies (who then both canceled) and the third they dispatched was J&R. Within minutes, we received a call from Popcorn who said he'd be there in 30 minutes. Popcorn showed up, was friendly and professional, had the car hooked up and towed to our mechanic in another half hour. We were able to still make our weekend trip (albeit a bit later). Skip ahead 3 days when the issue w/ the car turned out to be a warranty issue, so we contacted J&R based on our earlier experience to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. The office staff was courteous and within two hours, had our car from the mechanic to the dealership. While I certainly don't relish the use of a tow company, if we need one, J&R is who we'll call. Mike was a great help. After the language-challenged person from my roadside *lack of* assistance company didn't send him my pickup location, he turned around and came all the way from Zuni to get my vehicle in downtown Suffolk. Even helped push it into my driveway. I'd recommend this company to anyone. Service: Car towing

Awful experience! My apartment has a contract with them to tow vehicles from the parking garage! They’re supposedly a 24/7 service, I called at 1:55am, operator said they’d be out in about 35-45 minutes. It’s 3:10am & unable to reach operator at the number provided, nor have I received a call back. DO NOT USE Service: Car towing

My car battery died, so I called J&R to get towed. The secretary on the phone was very friendly and helpful. Rico, the owner, arrived quickly and was super nice. He even offered to give me a ride, and he charged my battery, which saved me a lot of money. He went above and beyond to give great service. I definitely recommend J&R Towing. As I read all the reviews I noticed the perfect reviews, come from customers whom called to request towing. Eric was very aggressive, as he ran back to his tow truck, quickly rolling up his window, driving off, after hooking up my elderly mother's car in broad daylight, as I was visibly trying to get his attention, I then throw up each of my arms, in disbelief. Eric, then rolled down the window, aggressively saying "Do not talk to me unless you are going to pay the fee to drop this car down!", I asked Eric why speak to me this way, I am a person, also. I then started videoing, once he seen the phone, the cost of dropping the vehicle went from $50 to $40. The vehicle was retrieved, note: there wasn't any signs stating "parking was not allowed". I then called J & R, Kerry answered, she was NOT customer service friendly either, I then asked to speak to the owner. JeNay, the owner called me back, her tone was much more customer service friendly. I say all this to state "Without customer service, companies will not thrive". How associates act in front of their superiors, should be how they continue to treat others throughout the day, not Go from being a devil, to an Angel, when the owner get involved. "Have to do better managing JeNay", whether it's a tow, in the right or wrong, your employees should always keep it professional. ***Customer Service is 🔑*** We are why you are still in business.
