I have used this store a few times in the past year. The lady was working there previously was not helpful at all and very rude, as a matter of fact she would be smoking outside and have you wait until she is done!! The reason I’m giving them 5 stars is because of my experience today. The gentleman working there today was very helpful and very decent man made some time of his very busy store to come out all the way in 85 degrees weather to help me hock up my trailer and also went to help some other customers in the parking lot. Thank you

DO NOT RENT A TRUCK HERE. I reserved a 10ft truck. It was reserved in my Uhaul account online profile. I was given a different truck when I got to this office. I drove it 31 miles. The people who took my originally assigned truck drove it 203 miles. I was charged for that milage since that truck was originally assigned to me. Thus charged $325 instead of the $83 I should have. I opened a billing dispute to no satisfaction.

After messed up reservation and pick up truck at different locations and trailer here I came, being nice, and I got NASTY attitude back. Being threaten that if we dont hook stuff correctly it will be reported stolen. Was told i have to pay CASH. And that its up to him and he can for no reason cancel my reservation. I HAVE NEVER SEEN WORSE CuSTOMER SERVICE. Such a contrast to other location where I picked the truck. After reading others people experiences here on review - this is pretty standard set for years. I bet they laugh later at frustrated customers. Well, I requested REIMBURSEMENT for this whole awful interaction i was subjected to. Because nothing else will trigger change.

Don't rent from this location the owner will over charge you. We returned our trailer within 1ehours of rental and the owner charges us for a extra day. He says it wasn't returned until 3pm the day after we returned it. He was rude and a lier.

I made a reservation online for same day pickup before noon and opted for truck share 24/7 using my phone to avoid going inside the store! I showed up 15 minutes before pickup and signed in uhaul website to pickup the truck by going through the easy steps on my phone to find the truck in the parking lot and the keys were supposed to be inside a lock box by the main door! Instead I was instructed to go inside the store and ask for the keys to the truck!!! To my surprise the door was locked with a hand written sign OUT For Lunch on the window and didn’t mention when coming back but if you have questions call 1800gouhaul! I waited till noon while on the phone with uhaul and I was advised to come back in an hour as they had no means of knowing when the employee will return back to the store!!! I cancelled the reservation and whoever owns or runs this location is unprofessional and incompetent failing to do their job! How hard could it be to leave the keys inside the lock box before locking your doors on your customers!! Avoid this location at all costs!!

****WARNING!!! DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL LOCATION!!!!**** They charged me for 131 miles total when I went MAYBE 11 miles. I disputed with Uhaul and heard nothing. I called Uhaul and was not offered anything but an attitude by a worker stating they have 72hrs to review my claim. It has been almost a week now and I’ve heard nothing. I called the location itself and was told they needed to reach out to a manager and I would be called back. Nothing. Thank god my card was turned off. You will never get my money. You are wrong. You have an employee that either can’t type correctly or you guys are crooks. I estimated 20 miles while reserving knowing full well I would use less than half. I didn’t think to look at previous reviews because this whole situation is totally unfathomable. I was assured by the worker I could drop my keys in the drop box after hours and that’s it. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the odometer but again..totally unfathomable that a reputable company such as Uhaul doesn’t have safeguards in place against this. Can someone call me and explain what the F%<* is going on and why you have no problem stealing people’s money? Especially those using their literal last dollar to move in the middle of pandemic?

Do not use this location - not business oriented - agent essentually handles client without talking or answering a question. When I returned van she was "gone to bank". Waited 25 minutes - she returns with out a word for being closed, no I'm sorry you had to wait. Van was dirty inside when picked up, even though threat of cleaning charges if not returned clean. BAD rental experience.

This Uhaul place was the worst I've even been too. Please use other Uhaul in winchester. Place was dirty and the one renting Uhaul truck to us was not professional told us little of what we should have been told. She acted like she didn't want to do her job. The place was not open we had to go back several times. We are also trying fight a balance because she didn't do her job correctly.

I asked if a 26 foot truck could be rented, and a woman who works here said "Yes, a 20 or 26 can be available," and when I told her the dates, she said, that should work. When I asked to confirm the size and dates, she said "I'm actually not in the shop right now, but we will probably have those by then." I asked her to confirm them. I finally got the size and date confirmed, and arrived to pick it up. The store was closed during business hours with a sign that said "Gone to lunch, be back in an hour," with no indication of when the hour began or ended. We sat in the car waiting for 10 minutes, then a car pulled up outside the store. The occupants of the vehicle remained in the car for another few minutes. I got out of the car to knock on the office door again, and the occupants of the vehicle watched me. I got back in the car, and 5 minutes later the occupants of the vehicle exited the car and opened the store around 20 minutes after my scheduled pick-up time. The woman who opened the store didn't even mention being closed, late, or the fact that she watched me knock on the locked office door while she was in the car. The truck I rented has the engine light on, a bent metal latch in the box, and the lid on the center console is gone completely. I'm somewhat underwhelmed by the entire experience.
