Rented a car for military travel. My travel plans changed and I called Hertz ahead of time to make sure I could change my drop off location to Seattle and they said yes with no additional charges. So I changed my flight and then called hertz to get the drop off location changed and they charged me way more than my original price, after telling me I never called before and it wasn’t possible for me to change drop off location without additional charge. I’ll never use this company again.

The single best customer service encounter of my freaking life. Dennis helped my friend and I who were just trying to pass through town but got stranded due to car trouble. Dennis got us a car and gave us a huge discount! He went above and beyond in every way to make sure we could move on. That man deserves a raise. I wish I could give him more stars.

Dennis was awesome! After not receiving much help at one of the other car rental companies, we walked to the Hertz counter and explained what we needed. We had some urgency to our rental need, and Dennis was extremely helpful in getting us on the road quickly in a clean, comfortable car at a reasonable rate. The difference between the other rental company that we tried and Hertz was night and day. Thank you to Hertz and Dennis. Hertz is conveniently located right in the terminal. When you exit the secured part of the terminal, Hertz is on your immediate left.

I'd honestly give Hertz negative stars if I could, the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the rental itself was clean and gave me no problems to drive while I was driving it. I will not be coming back ever again. I prebooked my car through Expedia for an 8 day trip, I selected that I wanted the collision damage protection and was quoted about $850. When I arrived at Hertz the guy who helped me, Kevin, was on the phone laughing and joking with whomever at his desk behind the glass door and after five minutes of waiting he finally without getting up from his desk or anything raised his finger to me in the 'ill be there in a minute' motion really rudely like I was inconveniencing him. He finally came out and was helping me with my reservation. He asked me all sorts of personal questions about my trip that came off in a really weird and creepy way that made me feel uncomfortable and had really no importance to the renting of the car. He told me I HAD to have Hertz's collision plan and that he would be putting it on. I was frustrated because I already paid for a collision plan with Expedia and didn't understand why I was required to have more coverage. I tried to stress this and he just said I had to have it so I let it go. I only let it go because I didn't think it would cost extra or that much because he didnt tell me what it was going to cost, just that I HAD to have it to rent the darn car. I checked my account after my trip and my bill was over $1,300!!!! I am LIVID. This is fraudulent! He never even told me what is was going to cost and since he said it was required I assumed it wasn't that much because I have no moving or driving violations. Plus I had already paid for collision through expedia. I am going to call customer service and hope someone contacts me asap about this. I will never come back.

The customer service could use some improvement. I was told that the hold on my account would be released by Wednesday. It is now Friday and I've called twice about this hold and Kevin informed me that Hertz released the funds on Monday and to call my bank. I called my bank and said the hold had not been released. Called Hertz again today and spoke with Marina -- got the same run around with the 800 number for Hertz National. Called that number and it's just a recording. February 27, 2020 - Still stand by this 1 star rating. Had a rental reservation on February 27, 2020 at 3:30pm. Upon arrival, I watched the manager, Kevin, leave and get into a car. 30 minutes later, he had not returned and I called the local number which I realized was forwarded to a cell phone in the office, which was wide open. I also called the Hertz 800 number and they were extremely unhelpful. 45 minutes goes by and there are still no Hertz employees. An hour later, an employee arrives who was on her lunch break. She apologized for the inconvenience. There is a problem with the management at this location and it seems no matter how many times I've reviewed/complained about the lack of customer service (from Kevin) nothing happens. Will not be renting from Hertz again.

I was hit by a car, my car was totaled, and my insurance made a reservation for me with Hertz. The reservation was solely for a basic car rental. They ended up charging me for additional insurance I specifically said I didnt want. They charged me $367.82 in additional charges when my insurance only paid $265.82 for the car itself. Why would I want extra insurance through Hertz when my private insurance was already paying for the car!? They refused to make it right and credit me my money. Beware. Worst experienceive ever encountered with a rental company.

If I could rate a 0 for this place I would. Horrible custom service. Let me start from the beginning my husband's car got hit so my insurance company was supposed to get the reservation all set up so I would just have to pick up the keys and be on my way. When we get down to hertz he (Kevin) can't find anything from my insurance and eventually ends up frezzing the website and having to call technical support to walk him through how to fix this problem. After about an hour and fifteen minutes of trying to get me a car, he (Kevin) says he can just direct bill them. By this time I was upset because I was missing work and thought he should have done that in the first 30 min. So I get the keys and go get into the car and it stinks so bad, can't even describe the smell it had. Then the 4th of July comes around and hertz calls my husband saying we need to return the car today. So he goes to take it back and the office isn't even open. We get an extension from my insurance to keep the car as long as we need then Jule 23 comes along and hertz has taken money out of my account. I call the local office and talk to Kevin again he is very rude and told me he had tried to call me and left me a message, mind you I have no missed calls, no voicemails and no emails neither does my husband. I tell him I want my money reimbursed because my insurance is paying NOT ME. He continues to be rude and tells me he doenst handle the billing and I need to contact my insurance. Well I did and they told him the same, so I'm getting reimbursed and taking the car back today. I'm feed up with hertz and their very rude attitude and very poor customer service and lack of understanding with customers. I will never rent from here again and I urge anyone else not to either.

They're one of the big faceless car rental companies. Rates are hit/miss depending on when you book. Always look for promo codes online to save you some money. Make sure to also check competitors! My cars have always been clean and comfortable!

The car was clean and in good condition. When I got to the counter I was told they were just about to cancel my order because I was late. Had they read my flight info I provided the clerk would've known when to expect me. After she saw I am clearly a Native American, I was treated poorly. I dropped off the key early in the lockbox because at 9am the desk was closed. When the clerk was behind the counter she complained and grumbled about having to get a car to the car wash and ordering her employee to take the other 2 cars to get serviced. I boarded my plane without even getting a receipt of my transaction, I did not want to deal with her small town, small mindedness.
